So I was running a timewalking Classic dungeon and because my tank who was a prot paladin decided he wanted to grab every mob he could as well as the boss and then die because of level difference so I can’t heal him on top of mechanics and debuffs he proceeds to have a roid rage. I was nasty back but I’m the one who gets reported and suspended while roid rage Little Jimmy gets to go on playing and probably not even being punished. I was suspended for a week because I’d been silenced for a week previously because of getting angry at players in Classic AV.
If you want to discourage players from being social or talking to each other at all in any capacity in group finder, continue punishing them while ignoring who instigated it to start. Would strongly advise people playing healers in Classic Timewalking right now to ignore everyone you get grouped with since little kids can’t control their emotions and you get punished for defending yourself.
This is epic, I get it though. People complain about me all the time and I rarely report anyone, I am sure people report me from time to time.
My opinion is they should not ban/suspend anyone for chat related issues unless they are obscene. People can enable the bad word filter or ignore people which is what anyone in big boy pants would do.
The reason people report you is because they feel offended and they want to hurt you more than you hurt them.
Pretty much man. Little Jimmy has a roid rage because he died after doing something stupid and it’s YOUR fault. WoW is great for teaching people how to not be held accountable for their own actions.
I get it reading is hard and acknowledging that some players are so dumb that they’ll blame you for something they did. Kinda exactly like what this roid rage kid did but he won’t get punished for it.
Turn off your chat and it’s a better game. That’s honestly my advice for every online title under Activision.
Also, you have no idea what the outcome was for the other player. If it was as nasty as you claim, they likely got the same punishment. But you sound like you add to the problem.
