Sure does sound like the qualities of being an “adult”. To be honest when you start going off of the memes of the internet as a rational reason to try and mock other people who have differing opinions of your own it comes across even more childish than the people you’re trying to make fun of.

which honestly is funny considering they are all ugly mounts that sans the vendor stuff no one would ever use
I am usually someone who defends exclusive content and unobtainables, however, I think this was too last minute. Usually these things are known at the start of an expansion but we are halfway/more than halfway through this expansion.
However, it also depends on if earning 5mil before Shadowlands is doable or not. If it is possible, perhaps it was made known at this time for extra challenge (but wasn’t it not formally announced?). The main way to make gold is by AH, but I happen to main on a very dead server. If I were to start today, I don’t think I would be able to purchase it no matter how hard I tried, and same goes for people who have a similar situation to me.
I don’t think this was a good idea. But I’m not sure what to suggest to resolve this. You couldn’t reduce the price because that wouldn’t be fair to people who put in extra time/effort to get the 5mil compared to those who put in less time for less money…The only thing I can think of is making it still exclusive but until 9.2 or 9.3 instead of end of BFA.

No it doesn’t. There are still many many many many things they leave in previous expansions for people to go get. They only very rarely make things like the Amani War Bear, Plagued proto drake, panda land bird mounts, and various other things (long boi) exclusive. There are maybe a handful of things that they have made exclusive and thats perfectly fine because there are HUNDREDS if not THOUSANDS of other old expansion things for players to go get.

They shouldn’t take ANYTHING out of previous expansions. I don’t care if it’s only a small handful of things, it should be nothing. Zilch, nada.

Exactly. The very few exclusive items serve to tell that, “hey, I was there and did it back in the day and not some person who went back and farmed it all.” Some exclusivity is good for the game. The trick is finding the right balance.

First 2 sentences is irrelevant. Mage Tower came out during ToS and announced to everyone that it was going to be a challenge that’s meant to test the current state of the classes design meaning that it would be removed by the time BFA dropped.
And I agree with your last sentence. It is nice to see Blizzard rewarding multiple types of gameplay. I just feel bad for the people who weren’t aware that it was being removed from the beginning of the expansion so that players who aren’t so good at making gold could use it as a motivational piece to get invested in that part of the game. Has nothing to do with entitlement.

I thought the young kids liked the memes? No? They are the modern versions of nursery rhymes and wife’s tales.
But, there is a reason those tales and these memes exists. Differing opinions are natural. Handle it like normal people.

The Mammoth from Wrath was a unique piece of Wrath (still in game)
The Yak with the Transmog vendor was a unique piece of MoP (still in game)
Both those mounts as well as the brutosaur one are all vendor mounts yet the brutosaur is being taken out. If they would of said at the start of BfA it was a limited time expac mount fine but to wait until we are past the half way mark and to have it found on an outside source before actual confirmation is wrong .

Exactly. And there are only a handful of things in game that has received the exclusive treatment by blizzard. I would say out of the tens of thousands of items, mounts, pets, toys, etc in game still obtainable by conventional means… a handful of exclusive things is just fine.
I haven’t made any demands though. All I’ve done is state that I disagree with their decision. And if you’re referring to the response that you’re getting from people with your statement to handle it like normal people, saying…
“Haha Karen. Get a life”
…isn’t quite handling anything like a normal person yourself. But if you’re referring to peoples reaction to the mount being removed with that same statement, then I’m sorry to say that this is the only way to get anything across to Blizzard anymore. And sometimes they go through with it anyways regardless of the feedback they’ve been given. So people just keep getting louder.
The way people are acting right now is because Blizzard isn’t really interested in anyones feedback unless it starts to cost them financially.

They don’t need to make a blog piece about certain items and loot in game becoming unobtainable or harder to get every time they release a new expansion.
You still have most likely a YEAR to save the 5 mil and get this mount. I’d say thats MORE then enough fair warning.
I’d say the relief of the negativity they receive from a few hundred salty subscribers on these forums, not subscribing to their game anymore will actually do them better financially than to continually cow tow to them to try to appease their every demand.
Id rather get the negative players as far away from this game as possible so it can continue to be the best game they can make for years to come.

You’re right because all Blizz would have to do is make a small statement and WoWHead and MMOChampion would make the blogs for them. It takes no effort from them to come out and make a small post about it.
Tell me what benefit there is for them to withhold this information from players. And don’t give me a “Well why don’t you tell me…” response. I want you to tell me how Blizzard benefits from holding this information and only making a statement after a player points it out.

They have removed items and mounts from the game before to give those players who worked hard to obtain them a small degree of exclusivity, and they will and SHOULD continue to do so in the future.
Just because other vendor mounts were not removed, doesn’t mean blizzard is obligated to not remove the most exceptionally expensive vendor mount in the game so far (to give players who prioritize gold making above everything else they do in game a small degree of exclusivity and prestige). And they aren’t even removing it. It will still be available via the BMAH. So your argument is just flat out wrong.

While I feel like they have their right to voice their sides as well and their opinions of it not being a big deal to them… they are certainly not doing it in a mature manner. Honestly they are being pretty rude, crude, and provocative.
Honestly, at this point, I wouldn’t let them get to you. They are trying to get a rise of of ya.
On the positive, their posts keep bringing this thread to the top of the GD and bringing more attention to it.
