Getting real sick of disappearing mining nodes

Getting real sick of disappearing mining nodes, Blizzard. I run up, it fades away. I run up and mine it, it fades away, I run up and mine it: “You cannot loot that right now.”

I need to start seeing the post master return this ore to me. Fix this.

If it was farmed recently…within the last 20 seconds or so…its going to despawn. Been like that for at least as long as Ive been playing WoW.
There are some that seem to be phasing or something problems.
Even north of orgrimmar there is a node that disappears as Im approaching it…but if I back up it reappears…then is gone again if I head back at it.

THAT is annoying, lol.
The despawning nodes are just part of the game.

And herbs! It’s very frustrating.

A lot of times it’s sharding. I can approach the node and it vanishes, back up and it reappears. Approach from any direction and it vanishes, back off and it reappears. Ugh.

I really noticed this in draenor while skinning something last year. the wolves will just fade away as Im runnning at them then come back if i head away.
Ridiculous “bug”.

I also run into this same issue with ore and herbs… it’s pretty frustrating.

Become an herbalist and you can have disappearing flowers instead.

Be thankful you can share nodes, back in the old days (And in Classic) only one person could get the herb node and you had to mine a mining node multiple times 1-4 and people could steal swings off of you.

Dunno about a lot of the time, but I have seen it a couple of times in S’lands, especially if it in or next to a WQ area. It is very frustrating to see that node, approach it and have it vanish, then reappear when you go backwards. I’d suggest that whenever anyone has they happen, they note the exact location and report it as a bug. It might get fixed…accentuating might.

Remember Argus treasure chests despawning…yeah.

Honestly, nodes haven’t despawned much on me, but I’ve noticed how phasing seems to be easing off and getting mobs for quests can be hard.
I ran through a square in Revendreth with no mobs…no players…then waited and suddenly it was as if all the mobs respawned at once trapping me in there lol.

I am pretty sure this was changed and now its strictly just a timer. 20 or 5 people can mine it but it will disappear after X amount of time. Never bothered to see how long it lasts, but I have sat there and watched numerous people for a short time mine it and it does not just disappear shortly there after.

I have noticed mining nodes in SL seem to respawn faster.
Ill farm one…then run over and farm a couple others and the one I farmed the first time has already spawned again.
Great for me to make stuff…not so great for the folks thinking theyre going to make a killing selling that ore, lol.
Ive farmed a few thousand Laestrite ore without trying much. just picking it along the way to wherever. Cant imagine the price will ever be very high when its respawning fast and ive gotten upwards of 15 ore off one rich node.

Yeah I have noticed, it does seem to be easier to find them. They may have sped them up to keep costs down for lego’s.

This is indeed frustrating when I am on my druid

If a mining or herb node vanishes as I am running towards it then ok whatever

But it disappearing while I am in the middle of gathering it though…

Don’t worry, its just a phase

I know why they fade, but they could make it so that if you start swinging your pick, the mining node will not despawn until after you’ve mined it.

Or, you know, take a page from FFXIV (since they already did that with the main questline system) and make everybody’s mining nodes personal to them and stop with the competition BS.

With the ridiculous numbers of players running around, sometimes it is hard to find a node that will actually stick around, and IMO, if you clicked it in time to swing a pickaxe at it, it should not despawn until after you loot it.

there’s no more multiboxers, so what’s the problem? oh they weren’t the cause in the first place. nice to know.

The ones that despawn in front of me don’t bother me too much, but if I started tapping it and it vanishes, that infuriates me. It’d be nice if you could at least get the ore or herbs if you started tapping before despawn. That would be nice.

They weren’t the sole source, but they contributed and made it worse.

The real problem is the lack of personal nodes. Just like how we’ve regressed into competing for quest objectives again.

Imagine having a superior system for quest objectives and then going “naaah, let’s go back to Vanilla-style questing where we have a quest that wants 10 of something, let’s only put 8 in the area and expect 10+ players to be vying for them!”
