and it’s becoming more and more apparent just how big a mess Blizzard has made.
45-60 content is all messed up, items from 7 dwarves in BRD dropping from vault chest. Mobs being able to be killed from 100 to 0 while they continue on their path, never attacking/casting or even moving towards you. Items dropping from the wrong bosses.
It was bad enough when it was just that the game was in the easiest possible version of vanilla that almost nobody played because TBC was coming out in 3 months, now I’m hearing Ironfoe is not hard to get, when it should be one of the most difficult drops to get in any 5m outside of maybe Baron Rivendare’s mount.
I won’t resub, private servers do a much better job with vanilla content that Blizzard is apparently capable of.
the raiding of 5m content with increased experience should have been caught in the beta, and I’m sure it was. I honestly believe Blizzard intentionally made classic as easy as possible to please the BFA crowd and make people get bored and frustrated with the game ASAP.
The only time I opened a ticket for what I viewed as a problem (and still do honestly) was dynamic respawns. I was told by the Blizzard employee that I should try BFA.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, I have zero interest in playing your weird collection game that is pretending to be an mmorpg.
It’s just extremely sad to know what Classic could have been, and to see the abomination that we got.
As long as we are on the subject of messes, could you use some sentence structure and paragraph breaks?
45 to 60 is definitally weird. it got frustrating with the mess it is for me too so i find myself starting new toons haha, as leveling is still fun
i dont want to follow leveling guides, but i might have to in order to not spend 60% of my time flying back and forth to rando places to do one or two quests at a time : /
Lol beat me too it.
Classic was made easy on purpose. Since it’s a way to get money from private servers. Besides BFA is the superior game.
well make sure river is shallow first
You’re literally level 56.
Go get some fresh air, take a walk, clear your head.
Return when you’ve cooled down.
Well, that’s just, like, your opinion, man.
Please god don’t take the bait
Dudes right, content so goofy everyone just AOE’s everything while under geared and under level. Wont last and its sad.
That is and was the leveling experience of Vanilla WoW. Questing was disconnected with a quest starting one place, taking place in another, and getting turned in out in left field.
In terms of the OP. I always hear these remarks, of they released so much of an easier game…I mean sometime I don’t know if people never played actual Vanilla, or they have just been perverted by private server tuning, but not a single thing was all that difficult in vanilla. Leveling was long and grueling and pulling a bit more than you meant to could spell disaster. Dungeons and Raids? Lol what are you chiefing on exactly? We could 5 man UBRS when it was 15, and 5 scholo while it was 10. MC only took 15 people actually doing anything while the other 25 snoozed. I mean that literally, as someone in the military I would actually sleep from Mag to Majordomo on follow and get buzzed on my big Kyocera cell phone to get up and refollow if something went wrong.
What did you expect out of the gate? They pulled up a toaster, dusted it off and handed it out for free if you subbed to their actual retail game.
But continue on with the melodramatic, new age hipster “It’s cool to be a critic” nonsense.
Yeah, that always happens with time locked servers in MMORPGs, and/or progression servers, too. In fact, even when new MMORPGs launch, end game is always either severely messed up, or missing altogether.
It’s the final thing any gamer there sees, so it holds the least importance to devs it seems. They all seem to run out of development money before the end game is complete.
ya…
man watching asmonbald do MC was funny, its literally the biggest snoozefest
one mechanic per boss, and just stand in one spot and dps
i couldnt believe people ENJOYED that compared to say jainas fight with all its RP and phases/mechanics
different people different strokes i guess
People like to post that “vanilla was always this easy” which just isn’t true. if it was so easy, why would they give us the version of the game directly before TBC?
It feels a lot more like phase 2 should be burning crusade than zero raids, DireMaul and 95% PvP.
They are time-gating content when Vanilla was in it’s easiest form, and most players had just quit playing to wait for the first paid expansion. (something Blizzard said they would never do by the way)
Yea definitely different era’s of raiding. What people don’t understand is MC took 154 days to clear because there was no “Race”, and raiding was this illusive thing that people talking about in Ironforge/Orgrimmar. Not to mention server sizes only got up to 3000 and that wasn’t all of them, so your pool of people that actually raided was 2 or 3 tops per faction (and that’s a stretch). Today it’s mainstream gamer media for these races to world first. Mechanics are tuned tight and the fights need to be entertaining. It’s evolved.
Sometimes I miss Vanilla/TBC/Wotlk when I could excel in the world top 250 or so without hours of grinding, split runs and 40+ hours of somewhat expected play time. You just had to show up like my summer volleyball league, kill or attempt to kill some bosses. Outside of that you could hop on to farm some currency, or work on some misc things but that feeling of the need to log in 7 days a week to stay ahead of the curve just wasn’t there.
GO AWAY… AND NEVER RETURN
First of all you’re about the 10th person I’ve seen say people quit before TBC. Where do you even come up with this data? As I remember it when the burning crusade was announced people went through the roof. Guilds were pumping at Naxx40 which was actually difficult as not only bosses got tuned up but even the trash could be mess, but FLYING was coming and people were losing their minds how awesome that was going to be.
The only expansion even more highly anticipated was WotLK.
They didn’t give us the easiest version, they gave us the most tuned version. Tuning and nerfing are two different things. Much of Vanilla was a massive mess before 1.9.
Oooof I took the bait.
More people are playing Classic right now, so I would say Classic is the superior game. People would rather play a 15 year old game than play BFA. I think that says a lot.
I think what you’re forgetting is that in Vanilla, people weren’t just “undergeared”… they didnt even understand what gearing properly WAS.
I think back to my first 8 months in WoW and its kinda scary.
This.
If you were a company dishing out a “redo” of your classic game, wouldn’t you release the least buggy/best tuned version? Sure, 1.12 is “easier” but thats because no one seems to remember the massive amount of pretty regular patching and class overhauls that occurred during its lifespan. They litterally went 1 by 1 and re-worked every classes talent trees, and even the itemization of the loot.
People act like its under-tuned, its not. Most of the content besides AQ40/naxx was always easy. Although a few bosses in BWL will give some guilds trouble. It’s the cleanest most polished version of the game. Exactly what you would want to release if you were blizzard.
