Seriously. This is starting to piss me off. I need tank gear, badly. After making it through a timed run and getting +2 on the key I was feeling pretty good since we pulled together with an impressive run and I hadn’t gotten any loot from a chest in a while. Despite there being tank gear in Sanguine depths and my specialization being set to receive loot for guardian, I get yet another piece of feral gear-a conduit this time. This is great I now have been awarded two feral trinkets and a conduit despite never once since hitting 60 having my loot spec set to feral. I’d like a trinket or something to help with the spikey damage but blizzard just keeps chucking me feral gear.
Fix your damn loot speculation setting now, PLEASE.

I think Conduits don’t follow your loot spec. I get Conduits for all specs randomly.

They don’t. It’s annoying.
I have more frost and arcane conduits than fire. I’m fire.
I suppose it doesn’t follow it for trinkets either? Because I only get feral trinkets.
look at the dungeon guide for loot…
there are ALOT of dps trinket’s listed under the gaurdian spec lol
It’s a problem. Especially if I am counting on gear and I am given something useless, not useless because I have a good piece already, but useless because I can’t even use it in my spec. Now I am stuck in their stupid loot rules where I am less likely to get a piece of loot because Blizz sees I was just awarded gear-a conduit.
Let me start by saying, love the mog.
And 2ndly I agree with this on a spiritual level… Now, i haven’t been running M+ because well… I’ve been getting shafted in m0, and in heroic, i got a caster staff, while loot set to guardian. But even for my other toons my paladin as ret keeps getting holy gear… idk whats going on over there.
Conduits do not count as gear. They’re something anyone can get in addition to the loot drops.
You didn’t get gear for the wrong spec. You got nothing.

Loot for correct spec has been going off the rails for a while. It was very noticeable for me in BfA. I was almost being convinced my required stats had been rewritten.
Grumblz. Well if that is the case, then there is no discrepancy between guardian and feral since both use agility. Might as well remove the guardian spec setting entirely.
I just said F-it and run with dps trinkets, and ascended on my weap haha
this is my druid btw (Grumblz)
which is funny, in a sad way, because most of you can’t effectively switch specs because your covenant gimps you, most of the time.
Conduits are on a separate loot table. They don’t count against the number of gear drops.
They also don’t drop randomly, and are targetable in anything but m+ as they only drop specific conduits from specific bosses. It’s easy to look up these tables and laser-focus the one you want.
P.S. I’m so tired of explaining this to people Blizzard, why haven’t you made this information more prominent somehow?

Conduits are their own separate loot table and aren’t loot spec specific.
Blizzard made almost nothing prominent. I’m basically flying by the seat of my pants and Wowhead to figure out half this stuff.

it is fixed- there are no loot tables when it comes to conduits and legendary memories. quit crying over something that’s been that way from the start.

Conduits drop from specific bosses, same as lego. If you don’t have it, it will drop regardless of loot specialization
Conduits are boss specific, as in each boss only have one conduit on them (with the exception of the covenant locked conduits on the world bosses). The conduit drops will ignore specs because they don’t have another conduit on the boss loot table.
Also, conduits are on a separate roll from gear. If you got just got conduit, it means you didn’t get gear from that run.
Which trinkets do you mean? Some trinkets are spec specific, but some are on the loot table for both, despite being bad for bear.

They’re just like legendary memories that way. There’s a loot table and if your number comes up, you get the one for your class.
And of course they can drop from only that specific boss - so yet another reason your dungeons will lose half the party after every pull…
These and memories should both get moved to last boss.
I’d go a step further - all dungeon loot at all tiers should work like M+. Even trash loot in a normal level 10 run of stormwind sewers. Put a chest at the end, open it, and get everything that was queued up for you since the beginning. Leave before the end and get nothing.
With one caveat: leave during the last boss fight due to a vote kick, after it’s more than 60% down, but before it dies - if your toon was active you’d still get loot.
- Something like this is already in game. If you’ve ever DC’d during a boss fight, you might recall seeing the loot show up in your mailbox.
(because in many games with loot only at the end and vote out systems - voting people out to loot-grief them is a thing…)
