Since the new patch I’ve been getting 50% packet loss with router with WoWclassic only. None of the other games are affected
Done repair on game, and deleted wtf and cache and ran with no addons… Done a DNS flush… Turned off router and computer for an hour… Nothing works… Wierd it’s only wow classic and only after this patch.
Tested WoW Retail, Overwatch and it’s completely fine… Did port forwarding change cause this is annoying as hell.
Before today i had a strange problem when i login It would lag sometimes but if i just exit game and try again it would be fine for the rest of the session. Now it’s just bad permanently.

Im having the same problem here. I deleted everything now and can not even download the battle.net app
I’ve direct connected with ethernet, problem persists
Having the same problem after the reset yesterday. I use to have my setting on 7 but had to turn them down to 3 and everything is still jumpy. 7 isn’t even playable.
No issues on WoW Retail or any other games. Updated drivers, reset computer and router and nothing will fix it.
Just saw this on another thread and it fixed the issue for me
Go to your system setting and advanced. Look at your vid card setting. Some have had it set to auto after the patch which makes it select the integrated vid card.

Theres a difference between fps and just network latency… i’m having network latency
Ok I have tried everything. deleted everything then just reinstalled wowclassic no addons nothing. reset the game to defalt settings, and im still lagging really bad. Nothing is fixing this. All was fine until the patch/update yesterday.
So strange, missed a day of honour grinding. Might even miss guild mc if it persists tomorrow. I’m outta idea’s of what to try next. I have shutdown the firewall on both router and pc. No Changes also
Ok looks like I will not get to play Classic again since the update. Im not a programmer and should not have to set for hours trying to learn how to get system info so they can fix what they broke with the update.
Going to ring isp and see if they can do anything… But honestly still no blue post?
Honestly, no information posted that a blue or anyone else can act on.
Post a winmtr for network issues or a dxdiag for system issues and troubleshooting can start. Right now there is no information.
I have the same issue. I have troubleshooted everything that has been suggested and even more so(brother works in IT) and nothing works. Problem started yesterday after the patch came out.
yup this fixed it for me. thank you! was just about to try reinstalling
ISP tried everything so far, they said they will talk again tomorrow. Haven’t found any fixes. To post this mtr I had to put a space in all the net and com’s to fit it here. Seems like different results between pingplotter and winmtr. Logged in game and getting 180 to 600 ms currently, should be 22ms if it was normal. I also played abit of retail and was getting 500 ms there too now.

WinMTR v0.92 GPL V2 by Appnor MSP - Fully Managed Hosting & Cloud Provider
I had some weird latency recently too. winmtr was good. If you have an Asus MB - disable ROG Gamerfirst III service.
Disabling rog gamerfirst iii first fixed it, thanks
I wish you would have come here sooner with that info lol. Thanks so much it fix it for me too. Had to go into task manger and stop the run but after shutting it down everything works just fine.
Thank you as well!! I’ve been trying everything since Tuesday. Disabling the service for gamerfirst solved it!
That fixed mine as well. Thank you. Mine wasn’t enabled on my end but must have been in the background. Just turned it on then off and that fixed the lag issue for me.
