Getting into Korthia

I’m looking to get into Korthia for a hunter pet. I did the Shadowlands intro, skipped the maw, did the Threads of Fate skip and picked a covenant. Am I understanding right that I now do the covenant beginning quests until I get pointed back to Oribos? At which point I should be able to talk to Bolvar and do another skip to unlock Korthia?

All kinds of conflicting information out there from the launch until now, I can’t tell if this is actually going to work or not, how long it’s going to take and how much of the requirements are still in place. I don’t think I ever completed the SL campaign - I’m not even sure how/why I have the threads of fate skip.

Hello! Korthia is unlocked as part of the Chains of Domination storyline, which from what I gather you should become eligible for automatically upon reaching 40 Renown. I’m not sure if it’s possible on your first character, but yes, at that point you may be able to skip ahead to Korthia by talking to Bolvar in Oribos.
