Hey guys!
Just looking for some honesty/encouragement here… is the arena ladder suffering right now? I’m queuing 1500 rating 3’s games and it constantly feels like 2k+ rated games. I’m not the best only 2.1k xp 3’s and 2.2 2’s but judging the ladder from WOD and Legion it seems like it’s a lot harder to climb. Could quite possibly be a “git gud” situation but quite honestly its getting hard to get better when it feels like your playing glads each game. For the record I’m just a causal player. Thanks guys!

Ahhh buddy was on another server and didn’t want to pay to transfer. It was so i could help him out with gold and stuff.
not many people playing = rating takes longer to inflate
early in the season = rating is not inflated yet
plus a lot of people arent even giving any Fs, even the people playing.
im just pveing with my casual guild 2 days a week, the game doesn’t want me to play so I just chill
Q’ing between 22-23 mmr and it’s nothing but rank 1’s. Beginning of season is always fairly deflated since there’s not much incentive to q up. Don’t worry about it too much and just find some partners to synergize with.
I feel you OP. I sit in lfg and cant find games because I dont have any rating and play arms warrior. I get declined with messages like " waiting for a udk". When you do find someone they bale after a single loss.

I’d be down to queue with ya, no serious partners to push with. Also 2.2k do in 2s and 3s.
Usually queue after 10pm EST weekdays.

U literally face 3x r1s on alts at 1900+ and gladiator main teams at 1800 90% of the time rn cuz theres like 500 people that actually arena

Nope. I feel it too. So yeah i’m a hard stuck 2100 xp warrior playing at 1800 and every match feels like im playing against the top pvpers (swifty, bajeera, snutz, cdew etc) when i armory these players a majority of them have really good 2k+ xp.
I feel it too, no stress.
I’m ~2300+xp and I’m getting stuck around 1700 playing with random low xp players in lfg. Part of it is gear and azerite power, part of it is skill and messing up at times, part of it is not having the right partners, part of it is rating deflation, part of it is some classes being very busted at the moment, and it doesn’t help that I’m maining disc priest/surv hunter this season.
I think it’ll get better with time and hopefully I’ll find someone around my skill level that I can consistently practice and push a bit with.
Really? Swifty? Top PvPer? You should have no problems winning then. Kind of insulting you put him on the same list as the other guys.

That’s what happens when the game is this bad. Only like 12 die hards even bother queuing so you run into BFA Chad’s 14th UDK alt at 1500.
It’s the start of the season basically. Unless you’re in the rat race it’s probably just a good idea to gear. Get the direable traits you want and the essence you need ranked up.
Try again in a few weeks. The lower bracket should start to spread out.

I wouldnt beat yourself up. The ladder is not that active and gear is playing such a large factor. 2100 + is glad range when 2350 was first page as of yesterday. You will see some inflation by the end of this week as alts move from 1800 to 2k and main teams move into the 2100 range.
I left WOW for SWTOR. Having more fun there than I ever had on WOW.

I used to watch my buddy play that game. The battlegrounds reminded me a lot of WoW but with lightsabers
