So apparently there’s a website out there that calculates your mythic score? I’ve been trying to get into mythic+ 10 groups and spend most of the day just getting declined over and over again. I asked a group why he declined he told me my mythic score is too low for a 10? Like what’s wrong with people? This website has got to go or banned by blizzard. I’m NOT a bad player at all like wtf?
Start your own group, progress on your IO score, that’s what every normal human being does.
But I guess complaining on the forums will raise your score faster. C’thun forbid people put actual work on progression to get rewards.
And what the heck is that “elitist” stuff you’re babbling? How can you expect some random PuG to hold your hand and flatout carry you through content you have literally no experience on? It’s on you to get experience.
All I read is “I refuse to actual put any effort in progressing, so anyone who has higher standard than I do is an elitist and should be banned from existence”.

Late in season. You have a 550ish score, while not touching 1/2 the dungeons.
The runs you do have, while nice won’t compensate for not touching the others if those are the ones you’ve applied for.
At this point in the season there will be 30 dps instantly applying, all with 1k+ scores and experience in all dungeons.

You can’t really blame people using IO. High item level gear is just thrown at everyone now so there is no way to tell if a player is good or not. Of course, not all high IO players are good, but IO is basically just showing you have experience.
My IO sucks. But I don’t pug and just run with guildies and we are notorious at killing keys due to the dumbest crap but its all good fun. That said, if you insist on pugging M+ and don’t want to run lower dungeons to raise your score, best bet is to probably try to find a group sometime on Monday when “completion” groups are a lot more common.

Oh great. So in order for players to think im “good at the game” i have to raise my score to 1000 points? Sometimes this is why I HATE pveing in this game. There’s always some hoop i have to jump through it gets so tiring but whatever.

It depends what you are queuing for.
If you want people to think you are good at The Underrot, Siege of Boralus, Temple of Sethraliss, Told Dagor, or Waycrest Manor…you should do them at least once.
If I am doing a key, 10 or higher, on Tol Dagor. I will have 30 people applying for a dps spot. If I have people that have never touched the dungeon in m+, I will disregard them immediately.

saying you’re not a bad player - while it may be true - doesn’t really mean much in this scenario. How does the key holder know you aren’t a bad player? All they can see is what m+ content you have done, and they don’t want to risk their key on someone who has no demonstrable experience in the dungeon. I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
just list yourself for a lower key or two to build your score for that dungeon up a bit.

ok so then what’s a player who just came back to the game a few weeks ago supposed to do? my guild won’t take me a long on raids cause my gear is too low. i can’t get good gear cause my mythic+ score is too low. so how the crap am i supposed to raise my score if people wont invite me in the first place?? also i tried pugging raids but i dont have AOTC, but in order to get aotc i have to finish the raid ?

Maybe you need to actually do some of the content you plan on participating in?
Do you expect to get invites to a Gladiators PVP matches because you say youre good?
Should Method take you on their mythic runs because you did some LFR?

if you dont have the experience with +7/8/9’s why should you expect people to invite you to a +10?
the website really is only a guide to show people what you’ve done previously,
make some effort to fill in the dungeon gaps and people will more readily invite you

Can you explain to me how else a person who doesn’t know you is suposed to know you’re good at the game?
If you don’t like people using actual experience - what should they use since ilvl is a 100% meaningless metric?

IMO he sounds like a PVPer and is now getting angry that he’s being treated as a low skilled player when he probably is far better because he really only PvP’s. Ya he has a 1871 arena score, so he’s not bad.

Run your own keys. You do get them. List your own groups, get the gear and the score as you push your own keys.
Find another guild if yours isn’t helpful and push keys with a different guild.
Use friends or join a Discord group.
You need to look and find what works for you if this is what you want to do.

You have to start somewhere. You want people to invite you to +10s when you have never done a +2.
Take a weekend, and do some 6s, 7s, 8s, etc specifically on the dungeons you are missing. People are generally a lot more lax on raiderIO requirements in that range. if you were to get all 8s done, that would boost you to like, 950.
Its like asking for an invite to an AOTC run, without even doing the content on LFR.

How do you think the game was able to function for the previous 12 years before IO? I know it’s shocking isn’t it. You probably thought it would have imploded and died years ago without IO.

People always say this game lacks social interactions, and that blizzard isn’t doing enough to encourage the community to talk to each other. OP could easily join a guild and run with them and avoid dealing with raider I/O crowd, but he chooses to try his hand with randos that would likely kick him from group.
Perfect chance to make friends and socialize with others. Plenty of guilds looking for players that want to run mythic+.
Take some initiative.

Previously you wouldn’t get invited if you didn’t have the gear. Right now (unfortunately), gear is a joke to get. You can’t rely on a person’s gear to show they have experience.

This is what EVERY post responding to you is going to say. Run lower keys in the +5-9 range, Run your own keys, Increase your score to the point where people will be more willing to take you.
You’re complaining about something you have the power to improve if you want to put in the effort.
Blizzard does not have the power to stop a 3rd party site from scanning your armory profile, and then generating a rating, without taking down the armory in its entirety.
You can also buy stuff on the auction house, use professions to make your own gear, do pvp, pug some raids… etc.
