The little info that I have found on acquiring this legendary power is that it’s a drop from the great vault. I just want to double check with the hunters out there if this is correct. Another week with the great vault and I still haven’t gotten it. Is it just RNG or am I missing something? Any info would be appreciated, thanks!
Its a quest next to the great vault for looting the vault, theres no rng involved are you sure you don’t already have it and didn’t realize the quest gave it?
I have nothing in my inventory that resembles that power, the quest is right next to the vault, correct? I remember completing the quest last week too, today he gave me a quest to just do arenas. I could open a ticket if that’s the case, thanks.
Open your dungeon journal, shift+J by default, click the powers tab, and it will tell you every legendary and where to get them.
To add on to Dawnspirit’s post. The journal will also tell you if you’ve unlocked it. The memories you haven’t unlocked will be shaded.
Yeah, I checked in the journal, it’s still shaded. I did the quest and still haven’t unlocked it. Not sure what’s going on.
Once you have the power, you have to take it to the runecarver to turn it in.
You get the quest after completing M+ Dungeons or Raid.
Its a weekly quest that you get from an NPC located at the great vault room, next to the one that gives you the arena quest.
If you are not quite sure if you had gotten the power (and discarded it… if thats possible) or if you have completed the quest before, i would look up for the quest ID and the command to check if you had the quest completed or not.
I just checked with a quest tracker, I have not completed the quest apparently. I went to Bav’ol and he has no quests for me. I completed some M+ last week too, I haven’t done any today. Not sure if that would make a difference with the quest popping up or not.

I’d guess you had the quest available to you last week after clearing some M+ (because you were going to get a vault item), but didn’t notice. I’d try clearing an M+, killing 3 bosses in Nathria, or getting the first PvP unlock and see if that makes the quest pop up.
If not, put in a ticket.
I thought that might be it, just finished my first M+ of the week. I see I unlocked the reward in my great vault for next week but still no quest from Bav’ol. I opened a ticket, not sure what else I can do.
You have to finish the Runecarvers quest line up to the point where he tells you to collect soul ash from torghast and gather the materials to craft a legendary before memories will start to drop. After that you will see the quest
