why does conquest has to be the most impossible thing to get. you give honor points like no other. infact I cant even do anything with my honor points. because I have all what honor points can buy. yet I cant even get conquest points because theres no fair way in getting it. only giving 50 conquest for a win. and with arena solo. you gotta win what all the rounds to get any conquest? Ive played 13 arenas and only have a total of 2 wins from the 78 rounds ive played. been playing this game for almost 18 years and its been becoming a joke to play.

But anyways. Gearing alts feels oddly difficult since no one plays 2s or 3s anymore and they nerfed solo shuffle gains. Also hard to win in solo shuffle when everyone is completely geared at 1600 cr.

My hunter had 0 gear when I got on it last night. Played a few hours and sent over some conquest now I have my 4 set/full honor and a few other pieces of conquest.
Gearing seems fast to me.

So I heard about this crazy new feature called “unranked” PvP where you get conquest and honor and there are like all sorts of match types. Super innovative!

Gear is almost given away these days. I’m honestly confused.

- Get your two blood coin epics.
- Get your free tier gear.
- Craft 2-3 epics. They are extremely cheap. You could quest for 2 hours and have enough gold.
Then just do weekly PVP quests for a few weeks and you’re done. Also, if you do a little world PvP, you can usually snag a supply crate or kill an assassin for some easy conquest. So many ways to get conquest that don’t involve doing rated content these days.

Yeah, no worrying about the enchanted crests or actual item rank so crafting a custom piece with one of the five sparks you get within the day costs like 1k gold at most.
We’re almost at, like, peak gearing.

Yep. And lots of customization options. I made the neck a few days ago on an alt and I think it cost like… 200-300g total WITH crafting tip. The gems cost more than the neck. The back pieces are super cheap.
Beyond that, If you just do the world quests for like two weeks, your bound to get 2-3 or more blood coin gear. You could farm a whole set of the blood coin gear in a week just doing world PvP. The crates give soooo much. You can even go do some of the BFA world quests for conquest. It’s silly how many outlets there are for getting conquest.
I’d say the hardest thing about PvP gear these days is just figuring out how to craft stuff.

Yeah, I’ll kind of float through the class discords and one of the most common questions is getting the free trophies, if people even know about them, and crafting.
Lots of fretting over quality, ilev, etc, and the in-game stuff isn’t as clear as it could be.

Yep. It’s easily the thing that took me the longest to figure out. All to realize most of it means nothing for PvP.
Also, the PvP items are all pretty decent. Granted, the boots are a must for hunters, but past that, chest or cloak both are pretty good. Seems like you have a lot of flexibility, which is great.
Outside of that, the enchants and gems can get a little spendy… sort of. So easy to make gold now though, so even that’s a none issue. I have done almost nothing but PvP and probably made 200k+ gold.

What till you find out conquest is an even bigger joke once you get all your gear. It becomes obsolete.
They should add another vendor that sells cool/fun items for conquest. Or tmog sets like the one pika uses. Something like that would probably up participation in pvp
How do you get free trophys, i thought you had to buy them same as conquest gear for the 2ne one of the same type?
Open literally any pvp box, so unless you dont pvp you would have got them.
When you open a strongbox (it has a 100% drop rate) you’ll get a green voucher quest item in your bags that you have to click to start the quest, then you take it to the conquest vendor and get a free 700 and 875 trophy.
It certainly feels unnecessarily long. Even taking the quickest, most efficient route to getting geared I’m only finally in the final ~1.5-2k conquest stretch on my three alts that all hit 70 like 3.5 weeks ago now. I suppose Blizzard was successful at tricking me into subsidizing the premade brackets, but I don’t feel that success will carry on long-term. Definitely would have taken me longer still had I not had an unusual abundance of free time for the last couple weeks.
When the Catalyst drops Conquest should be uncapped, and maybe a month later all gains should be doubled or tripled. Gearing being better than it was in previous expansions doesn’t mean it’s not still bad in isolation; just means previous expansions were bad and then some. The game began with a PvP gearing system that remains to this day the worst system any dev has ever designed in the history of video games, and which was so heinous that it was frankly unethical for them to release it a second time in Classic. Being better relative to a confoundingly amateurish past is not an achievement.
