Apologies if this is in the wrong place, but I figured the forum for Macs would be the best place to ask this.
Discord seems to be the most popular service for voice chat in the game i’ve seen, but the os version doesn’t have an overlay option. I was wondering if there are any workarounds to this that allow me to quickly use Discord and join chats.

It’s not quite a full replacement for the overlay, but here’s what I just came up with.
- Install the free Thor app from the App Store.
- Open Thor
- Add Discord
- Set your desired key shortcut on the newly added Discord item
- In Thor’s window, click the gear icon and check “Launch Thor at login” so your shortcut always works
With this, as long as WoW and Discord are in the same space, the shortcut you defined will bring Discord to the front for quick usage.
