Geting kicked out of groups and 30 minute debuff

i miss the times when the game wasnt so toxic, on classic the community is good. you have a few players here and there that are toxic but for the most part everyone is nice to each other and helping. makes for a better game

It really is pretty whacked out. lol

We get it: vote kicks for dumb reasons can happen from time to time. But geebus, the drama from these threads…

This forum is roughly 1% of the playerbase, where we see a few of these every Timewalking and then usually nothing. In a game of roughly 7 million.

Classic is so insanely toxic that I won’t touch it ever again with a ten foot pole. Including the forum, where there’s currently a thread of people angry over ā€œwoke agendaā€ and can’t handle body types.

Got receipts for that?

Yet here you are CAUSING toxicity just to do it lol.

Like… what was your goal other than just being a bad apple just to be a bad apple?

You said you’ve been kicked 6 times by level 39.
That is alarming. You must be doing something (or doing nothing) to warrant it.
I’ve been spamming TWs like crazy this past week I’ve levelled a Rogue, DK and Priest to 80 and I’ve only been kicked once, when I lagged out for a few mins.

You claim we are toxic and the game is toxic yet you went out of your way to make things up just to create drama on the forums.

I mean, to be fair… you did call all of us toxic when we just disagreed with you and had different experiences.

That last thread… ā€œI pulled everything ahead of everyone else as the healer and OMG THEY KICKED ME FOR IT!!!ā€

Take care, good luck, if you need help running Timewalking, seriously just hit me up. I’ll get ya through without vote kicks.

I have and since its introduction back in wrath I’ve been kicked out for reasons that I’d say wasn’t a good/valid reason a grand total of three times. Beyond that I’ve been kicked out two more times and those were justifed, I was being a jerk.

If you’re getting removed from a group weekly you or anyone else is some how the most unlucky person OR you’re lying and doing stuff that many people don’t enjoy being around.

A lot of people say this, do you have any suggestions? Because if not I’d rather deal with the rare instance that it happens than deal with how queuing was with out having having the little cooldown the player gets.

The most popular two in other threads are:

  • Reduce the debuff to 15 minutes
  • 5 second countdown timer on the ā€œyesā€ button

Place a ticket of not being able to post and ask Blizz to delete the thread. I’ve had to do that with two threads that went wildly off the rails.

Good luck.

Thank you for gathering that for me.

I can see the 5 second countdown being somewhat useful as I have seen people not realize who or why someone is being kicked.

The 15min thing maybe? Heroics don’t take as long as they once did. It would just depend on how long it takes the average group to run one. If 15min is less time than an average run then no, it should at least match the long time if not a bit more.

Though, I don’t really feel 30min is really an issue especially since it is character bound and not account. There are plenty of things to do while the debuff is on to keep the player occupied.

Never happen. It isn’t toxic, its sort of essential. Four people should not be forced to play with someone who is being disruptive or causing other problems within the instance.

However, I still believe the debuff wait time is excessive. There should be some form of grading scale, starting at maybe 5 minutes and working up to large times if someone is quitting or being kicked repeatedly in a 24 hour period.

You dont need to do any of that. Just Mute the post. You can do that for your own posts as well as anyone else’s. You wont see the post, you wont see any responses. All neat and tidy.

Yes, apart from the normal trolls on the thread. There are real reasons for getting kicked like dced for 2-3 mins, being a bot, a troll in the dungeon, pulling the whole dungeon; then there aren’t like ā€˜they are lvl 39’, took too long to load (and it had been less than 30 secs), xx lvl, or a Panda etc etc. as examples. Then like others have said, once one joins others pile on. But I am not like, unless there is a perfectly good reason, like the dc mentioned before. I don’t pile on like others. I also suspect there are others as well.
Though getting a few groups that do this especially guild groups doing this on purpose trolling low lvls or others to make them sit out of dungeons, is bad form by players.

And isn’t on you like some players are saying but them and need to be found by Blizzard. However, by the player remember each grp members name, they or the grp has move on, bc they dropped them so quick, and they are wondering why they got the debuff for and that’s their first thought.

I agree with scaling debuff, but not with rest of the post sorry. The scaled, like TW scales to the level it would be better. Then it goes up, within a certain CD period.

They were talking about the debuff scaling depending on how many times you are kicked/leave the dungeon early.

I think most can agree 30 minutes is silly and it’s a very dated number. But I don’t know if scaling up based on the amount of times you are kicked would work either since a lot of the time we see lack of accountability from said kicks.
So players would just see their deserter exponentially scale and not comprehend the why.

There’s a box when getting kicked when voting now, if you play rather than staying in the forums all day that says this reason. If it’s multiple, they could easily be collated, then put on the players account like other blizzard data and account stuff. Like why they were kicked off wow.
