Is it beneficial to have two of these for Fury? Does the proc double or proc twice as often?
From what I’ve seen others say, yes the proc rate is increased (not doubled, but increased), but no, the effect does not stack.
And no, that doesn’t make it worth it to wield 2 Geti’ikku’s. Although it isn’t necessarily bad.
Okay, so second hand information here, but here’s what I know.
You only get one Geti DoT up at once. If it procs while there’s already a DoT up then the new DoT will overwrite the old DoT, not extend or stack. This increases uptime but doesn’t double it. I saw “+70% uptime” thrown around but can’t swear to it personally.
On the con side, if one Geti is lower ilvl then its weaker DoT can and will overwrite the stronger one. Also keep in mind that MH weapon ilvl is hugely important due to the innate weapon damage while OH weapon ilvl is a lot less so, which is why running a lower ilvl Geti in the off-hand is still a very good idea.
The exact balance between the pros and cons depends on what ilvl your Geti pieces are and what ilvl other weapons you have available, and is best answered by simming it.
Thx for the advice. Sounds like I should just pair it with Devastation’s Hour if I can get one.
Maybe in a pure single target scenario, simming will tell you if its better. Weapon that give stats are better for aoe fights
In pvp tho, really worth since that dot is stupid broken.
