can’t be bothered to do 8, they really should make it something like 1/3/5 instead of 1/4/8, 4 more 10’s just for a roll…/feelsbadman
Yeah did a bunch on my sham. Basically all GB10. Still no skardyn trinket which is absolutely bonkers for us. Praying on vault.
Just got a VDH ready for keys. Ill do some on them next reset.
I think it’s about time you stop asking, I know many players who have given up on doing 8, M+ is not in a good state right now.
i did on my monk, and picked up a few portals too. got at least 4 done on rogue, dk, and warrior.
What’s the common complaint?
I havent bothered in several weeks. I just do a couple lfrs for the anniversary event and it gives me raid credit enough to turn in for the 6 weekly tokens. then I just upgrade my gear. I have 8/8 champion in half and 4/6 hero in the other half… well except bracers but those are getting done on tues.
For myself it was two fold needing to do +10’s which I don’t really care for I’m more of a vibe kind of guy when I grind something out than wanting it to be a challenge all the time.
The other complaint is just how weak tanking feels to me at the moment.
I swapped to dps on my ret though and the dungeons have become relaxing instead of anxiety inducing. The worst part now is trying to get into a group which takes quite a bit of time.
Capped vault and gilded crests for the week. Made progress on timing 12s and only need 1 more. Got my first 13 and also broke into 2900s.
Pretty successful week.
Ya , that’s me when doing pve. I liked previous m+ when I could chill in the 1-8 range of keys
I got KSH (week 3), completed Zekvir?? solo (week 4) and got AOTC with my guild (week 6)
I lost interest quickly in this season once my typical goals were done. By contrast in older seasons, I would have begun playing an alt and trying to get KSH on them at least.
I tried doing that but the M+ structure being what it is currently, I just didn’t really want to do it. I looked at how many keys I needed to do to get enough crests, how slowly myth gear would be drip fed to me and that just turned me sour to the whole thing.
I played tank for most of my time in M+ and dps in raid this season. My main was BDK which just felt miserable with how much damage is incoming in these keys. There’s no chill whatsoever doing keys and it feels like the entire key is on your shoulders especially with the peril affix which only amps your mistakes more.
It’s tiresome and tedious having to do these keys in their current state. I pug most of the time and that’s contributing to my burnout. In older seasons you could compensate for other people’s lack of interrupts but now with the change you can’t and even when people interrupt you can overlap because you can’t communicate and coordinate.
Someone will say get a coordinated group and sure that would help but it doesn’t change how miserable it feels to be in these keys.
I look at next season’s dungeon pool and I think I might just not bother.
You can have 6 crafted 636 gear at this point in the season. It’s essentially the same as Myth track and in some cases better because you get to pick bis secondaries.
who cares about crafted gear? its practically not worth the effort.
On my alt?
That would be 45 successful completions of M+8s, previously it would have been 9s.
If I started my alt 4 weeks after that launch of the season it would have been about 11+ dungeons a week, which isn’t necessarily a lot by itself but if you’re a dps you’re in queue up for 20-30mins to get into one dungeon. But before you even want to do 8s you already need to be close to the hero gear cap (619-626) to even stand a chance of being invited. Which will take time.
Furthermore, if each dungeon is done in 30mins you’re looking at about 10-11 hours of game time a week on just gearing my alt without considering potential failures. Which happen occassionally even at 8s when you’re pugging.
SMH
Yeah this is easily one of the least alt friendly variations of WoW I’ve ever played which is kind of ironic because they introduced all these ideas that were supposed to make it much more alt friendly like the warband system. There’s no real reward for pushing past +10s, meanwhile the grind up to +10s also does not feel all that rewarding. So now I’m just kind of endlessly filling vaults on two toons but wishing I was playing some more alts but it takes way too much time to get them all up to doing these +13s.
The leap in difficulty from +11 → +12 is substantial. That’s likely the culprit.
Blame terrible game design on the part of developers in terms of dungeon/affix and class tuning. There’s a severe lack of communication and transparency.
Disappointing.
The irony is palpable. Haha.
Warbands is hands-down one of the greatest additions to the game in the history of the game and simultaneously this is the most alt unfriendly feeling M+ season despite the introduction of the new crest discount system.
I only recently noticed your delve doesnt have to be bountifal in order for it to count towards your vault.
Super handy when it comes to avoiding the frustrating ones like the underwater delves.
This is awesome!
I’ve grown to enjoy this thread.
GL qwarter and everyone else on your vaults!
What? How is crafted gear not worth the effort? You get 636 ilvl which is 3 below max for tier. The only other way to get that from M+ is praying on Vault every week otherwise you are wasting it on Hero track that caps out at 629. You get to pick the secondary stats for bis as well.
Got my 8. Then did some painful completions for guild members.
