Get the Wrath Classic WoW Token

Well in classic they can only be redeemed for game time. In retail they can be redeemed for game time or 15$ of bnet balance, so you very much can speculate with them there.

There is a lot of grey here though.

Eve’s isk/plex market is fully player controlled and doesn’t hit these issues.

Granted its foreign owned and run (Iceland via PA in Korea) but it has to follow laws to work in the US.

Eve speculates plex (like a token basically) heavily. and we have scams for it even.

Hell at some point eve make made it a bank/wallet thing. Long ago if you got really lucky in theory players could be ganked carrying plex physically. Very expensive blow up that one lol.

This would be like if wow had loot off corpse pvp and that dude ganked you and took the token off your corpse.

I don’t see a point to buy this gold unless you engage in GDKP runs. I would like epic flying for all my toons but meh… I’m not sure I have hope for classic now.

They’ve killed off DF with uninspired expansions predating it (as well as it being uninspired - I played it and was nonplussed by the lack of social gameplay there was). Now they’re killing off WoTLK with predatory marketing practices tailored to whales.

How are they actually planning on keeping their franchises relevant? I won’t buy Diablo 4 now that I know Blizzard is being run top-down by this insidious mentality.

What on Earth is their plan?

Anyone miss the frat boys yet, not their actions, but when you have people with PHDs in Animal Psychology and Masters in Human Resoruces and DEI leading your game…these are the products you get handed.

Frat boy mentality sucks, but WoW and Blizzard were rocking hard for a long time till they went super woke and went from game loving developers to some massive human resources experiment prioritizing feelings and behavior over content and gameplay.

'member when Overwatch was going to be a new Blizzard MMO?

They removed the downvote button, because they have zero interest in negative feedback. Nobody who made classic originaly works in the company anymore. Nost team without budget, did better job at running the game and servers, then multi million dollar company. Just shut it down already, so someone who cares can work on classic again.

Typical Bliz… they lied. Again. They always do. They lie to the players, they lie to the developers, they lie to rank and file employees, they lied to the government, they lie to their stock holders.

Let’s hope that Microsoft is lying to Bobby and that he gets shown the door without a parachute, because the fish rots from the head as they say.

I don’t condone buying gold, whether it is through a third party or through Blizzard. Is it that hard to fathom that I want to play a game in which all rewards are earned by playing the game?

A large part of the player base is to blame for this problem, not just Blizzard. GDKPs have incentived people to buy gold. Perhaps if they were against ToS, that would help curb some of that behavior.

While I cannot speak for everyone, I can say that many of us have spent time on private servers and have long-since become fed up with the sort “normalization” of bad behavior that is so pervasive on those private communities. There was an expectation that in exchange for our subscriptions fees, Blizzard would provide us with a high quality of service and an impartial application of the rules stipulated in the EULA.

In other words, Blizzard was supposed to be better than the private server administrators selling gold to people.

Lmao all the “good” pservers like nost had 100x the level of moderation that classic has received.

We get no bug fixes, no communication, no actions against cheaters, bots, hackers, or gold buyers.

We get auto bans from spam reports, and that’s it.

We just went an entire phase with wintergrasp missing its water FFS

Literally do nothing dev team that collects a paycheck. Disgusting

I remember making a in-game ticket on Nost and got answered within the hour by a real person. Last time I had that experience with Blizzard is 2009.
Nowadays if you even get to make a ticket(gosh they make it hard) you will get an automated wall of text in two days.
Private servers were smart, they sold gold to people, but then they just perma banned them right away.

Reality has indeed fallen short of expectation.

I did. Wish they would have put it in sooner. I buy game time with tokens

They also said they weren’t putting tokens in, yet here we are.

He edited what his original comment said. He was claiming that the Devs said its being added. What he edited it to I wouldn’t have responded to

Players cannot automatically ban other players. Players do not have GM banning powers with extra steps. Multiboxers do not have GM banning powers. It’s one of the most ludicrous and widely believed lies that this community has ever indulged in.

Ask yourself this: Have you ever witnessed your power to automatically ban the bots with a report in real time? Has anyone here? How many reports do you theorize it must take? 10? 20? So you have a 5-10% probability of being that final unique report that sends a botter offline every time you report one? I’ve reported hundreds of suspected bots over the years, and not once witnessed one being automatically banned. How easy would it be to have a multiboxer sit outside of these dungeons and just ban the bots? Why has this NEVER happened a single time?

Common sense is dead and gone.

I have seen multiple times while whole guild is reporting a person and him getting insta disconnected, mostly during tbc i encountered this, not sure if its still the case. Might be fixed now, but definitely has been abused before, seen some streamers test this with their audience too. If you have enough people it worked like a charm.

There’s a difference between being disconnected so an automatic chat mute colloquially known as a squelch can be applied, (which Blizzard has always admitted existed) and being BANNED.

The automatic chat mute from player reports has existed since May of 2007. There is no automatic ban system. Do you honestly believe that Blizzard would give THIS community the tools to completely police itself? How would automatic ban appeals even function? What evidence would there be of wrongdoing if it was automatic? Anyone with a modicum of knowledge regarding this subject knows the idea of automatic bans from right-click player reports is farcical beyond belief.
