Explain please? What the elf is faction tapping
I’m going to Howling Blast all the mobs around me just for you even when I’m not on the same quest and run away.
At least I have the courtesy to help you kill it after I tag it.
When a 5 man group of the same faction as you tags a quest mob, it becomes untaggable for anyone not in that group.

ahhh the good old “i speak for everyone”.
On my alt Blood DK, I was in Drustvar, doing a War Campaign quest. At 114, I didn’t realize that ALL of the mobs in the “foreign land” are 120.
I was in a mine, where there was a Spider rare.
Another player was struggling with it, and I tried to help, only to pull aggro and get clobbered (even a Blood DK doesn’t do well 6 levels underpowered). Nice that my Tanky bits were able to pull threat, but my dodge/parry/armor and DPS bits – not so much.
In the end, I just stood there, watching the other guy struggle to complete the mob, and when it got down to 1%, I tagged it and got credit.
I felt bad, but I did it anyway.

I don’t speak for everyone. However, use your brain. Do you seriously think it’s ok to not be eligable to tag a mob someone else of your same faction tagged just because they’re in a 5 man group that you’re not a part of. Seems like an unecessary implementation if you ask me.

Good for you. In my OPINION, you’ve got a few screws loose if you think same faction tagging was a good idea.
I don’t have this problem. Only problem I have is other faction tapping. But that’s so you don’t get anything from helping the other faction.
Up to five of the same faction can get tag credit for the same normal mob.
It use to be only the one who tagged it first got credit, and anyone else in that character’s group got credit also. But no one else.
They changed it so now it is up to five can get the tag and do not have to be in a group, but you are still complaining?
Some will never be happy.

I have a right to complain. I was trying to kill the 3 individual mobs as part of the first two quests you get in Darkshore. It took me nearly 35 minutes to kill all 3 because all the other groups around kept getting the tag before my group. It’s ridiculous that one faction can’t all share one mob. Blizzard has to add some stupid tagging crap between faction friendly players.

Two years later and they still allow this garbage to persist. I bet whoever came up with this idea jerks off to the thought of it every night like the degenerate piece of wasted life he is.
Try playing alliance then. Half the time I’m running around trying to tag something, but its hard with so many horde around.
Was this two-year necro necessary? Why not make a new post…?
