Having to take the time to collect pets and then time leveling them during the Super Squirt is so tedious and makes it such a hurdle to even try to participate in current content pet battling. If you don’t already have a roster of already leveled pets and are even just trying to do pet battling in the current content that everyone is funneled into you just give up and basically ignore it. If every pet you collect is just automatically level 25 or there are no pet battling levels to begin, way more people would actually participate in this content. It’s a huge hurdle having so many pets to collect and then also to level them all to max level? It’s honestly just ridiculous at this point.

Good news, you can usually complete the pet trainers with level 1 pets.
Although you shouldn’t be able to.
Otherwise this comes off as a request to be able to play pokemon or MTG without a deck.

What about if some of the pets on your roster are level 25 though? Will that matter?
I don’t really care about the pet battling minigame, I just wanna collect the pets. I’m not competitive about it.

Honestly, I like the leveling parts of it.
It’s the endgame pet battling that sucks, because Blizzard didn’t make Pokemon, they made an overtuned mess in which you have to chase meta comps to reasonably have a good time against… most things.
Anyway, as much as I wish the leveling part was more relevant because I like it, it’s honestly pretty irrelevant, so I’m okay with your suggestion tbh. You get one pet to 25 [which isn’t that much of hassle] then you can easily carry all of your other pets to 25 over the course of… VERY few battles. And given leveling didn’t continue to be a thing they expand on each expansion like character levels, most people who care have had their pets maxed forever now.
If that’s how its being handled, might as well drop pet levels, sure.

I have leveled well over a thousand battlepets to level 25 but you can always just buy them from the AH at max level if you want to win pet battles.

Kind of seems like levels are pointless then like someone above already said, seems like a good reason to just remove them or make every pet automatically 25.
I have a surplus of charms so I end up using the ultimate battle-training stones.
I do miss the days when I actually spent time with each new pet doing wild pet battles to get to know it (and leveled some alts along the way) … but I guess not so much that I actually go do it.

You could use tokens to buy rocks and level them up that way.
Battle pet leveling is the most fun part

I 100% agree with the OP dont listen to thos toxic elitist telling you its easy to level pets or it doesnt take long or thats part of the fun blah blah blah.
Having to level pets is just another toxoc system blizzard has in place to cater to the 1%ers
Its ridiculous and ruins any kind of fun to be had with pets.
Blizzard needs to stop catering to the 1% and start listening to people like the OP the 99% of the playerbase!

There are so many leveling and training stones in the game that you can bypass leveling if you wish. I spent most of BFA leveling and converting many of my pets with leveling stones. Gathering the charms to do this was fun for me.

Is super squirt a thing in the US anymore? I know when they changed the calendar the event and squirt stopped lining up in US. Really annoying.

How do you get charms without already having leveled pets to get them?
you can do the world quests that give charms with pets of any level (I think?? unless the named mob quests don’t scale). Repeat on alts if you have them, send all charms to one character to buy tokens.
