Get rid of fall damage durability loss

As the topic implies, I think it’s time to get rid of gear durability damage from falling. The reason has become clear after quite a while of not having these issues, the new Emerald Dream area has come around again.

Players are abusing explosives, traps, mind control, and other types of abilities to push others off of cliffs, and other areas. While this in itself is a bit annoying, especially mind control that can be cast over and over and over again. There really is no need to keep charging people gold for this type of element.

If this doesn’t change, I can see people becoming “gear breakers” who will constantly do this to others just to make them spend more gold on repairs. Get a group of people and camping others will likely be an outcome that will happen.

Just my 2 cents.

From an rp perspective, your gear would suffer damage from such a fall. It should stay imo.

Have you considered not falling off cliffs so much?

Oh, I see, this is about PvP happening in PvP mode.

Granted, but only for Pandaren.

Would much rather get rid of the in-combat durability loss instead.

  • Being in combat at all will cause all equipped items to gradually lose durability, regardless of whether any damage is taken or dealt.
  • There is a small chance with each hit by your weapon that it will lose 1 durability point.
  • There is a small chance with each spell cast that you will lose 1 durability point to your weapon.
  • There is a small chance with each hit absorbed by your armor that it will lose 1 durability point.

This disproportionately affects mm hunters. Your weapon breaks like 4 times as fast as everything else for no reason.

turn warmode off. problem solved.

The reason might be Rapid Fire and how it… fires rapidly.
