Get rid of DEEPWIND GORGE!

This new Deepwind Gorge is a catastrophe. It’s HORRIBLE in every way shape and form. The map is too large and you spend more than 85% of the time looking for a fight. How did BLIZZARD oops I mean Activision Blizzard, came into the conclusion that this map is FUN? How do you justify fun when you’re spending most of your time traveling???

THIS IS HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE IN EVERY WAY SHAPE AND FORM!

I think it’s the size it is to avoid having another battle for gilneas.

Where you can essentially “block” the enemy from even attempting to capture your base because your reinforcements can beat them to it

yeah… it’s pretty, but that’s all it has going for it

came here to say i don’t like new deepwind because teamfights suck there and travel is just not fun.
Does anyone like new deepwind? and why?

I think it’s a more challenging map because players need better intuition, scouting, communication, and positioning to counter incomings.

I like it . What I don’t like is all the trees blocking the camera angle at Ruins and to a lesser degree at Shrine .

If anything it’s a complete sleeper version of AB.

In AB you have to at least win the node.

On top of that, just the older iteration of DWG was just far superior strategy and teamwork wise.
Every single person mattered in old DWG.

Deepwind Gorge would be fine if they unprune class tool kits. Right now it is pew pew. The map is designed to be played defensively with strategy and tactics.

The size of the map and distance between nodes was designed that way on purpose.

If a team just wants to rolling zerg deathmatch each node and the other team just caps around them of course the first team is going to lose.

Their refusal to play around the design of the BG is really their fault not Blizzard’s.

giving it another try. I like to play rogue on deepwind, warrior not so much

I think I’ve responded to a another thread about this BG but I will say it again, I prefer this map over the old one.

To say your spending time looking for a fight, sounds like the Op only cares about fighting on the roads then the actual nodes on the map. The only way people will say they hate this map is nobody on your teams do call outs?

I did a deepwind a while ago and nobody fighting at nodes would do call outs, however I sometimes patrol between nodes and if I notice a battle without call outs, I will say “There’s fighting at X node” I will then see people on our side rushing to the node to defend.

Another trick to this map, a guildie found this out doing a rated match, was they could see a lot more at one of the graveyards. They then could watch their node and the whole map to see where people were needed for call outs.
