Get rid of cross faction and server limitations already!

I don’t understand why on earth Blizzard has not got rid of the factions yet. At the very least players should be able to queue together for groups. People want to play with their friend and or friends that they make in game but are constantly slammed with limiting rules that prevents them from doing things together. The factions should have gone away a long long time ago. Another issue is the server limitations. At this point that should be removed as well. I should be able to send a crafting order, mail or item to a friend on a different server. I sincerely hope this is addressed soon. I personally think they should just get rid of the faction and server system all together. This way if players want to play together they can.

Because there are other, very loud players who still think the faction conflict is something worth preserving, and don’t want to choose between that ideal and deserter.

They are slowly making progress, but I’d bet a lot of the limitations have to do with old spaghetti code… considering the game was built on the faction divide.

Change one little thing in the code and the game breaks in a hundred different ways.

Faction restriction only applies to queued group content doesn’t it?
They should just get rid of that altogether, let players put their own groups together and eliminate those restrictions.

Ez.

They are; however, I believe the code is a big secondary issue compared to the cash shop(Server transfers and faction changes, which are quite pricey).

Because some of us still want them.

They could do this without getting rid of factions. I think they are removing more of the limitations in War Within.

No they really shouldn’t. What should have happened was an optional faction for those that want to play together in PVE.

There really isn’t a reason not to mix faction in random PvP either, though. You can already merc mode, rated PvP pits you against your own faction and now can have mixed faction teams and even Blitz is fully mixed faction teams. Leaving randoms and epics unable to mix factions has made the premade situation worse, made queue times worse and worsened the gap in win rates between the factions.

I don’t do enough PVP to give my opinion on that.

Because there’s too much inherently tied to them and there is still faction culture/identity/quests.

Full groups should be allowed to queue, I agree.

Servers shouldn’t go away, but limitations are slowly being lifted. Crafting orders do need to be region wide. Guilds will soon be cross server.

Hard disagree. But there are ways for gameplay mechanics to make things more open.

Leave the Factions alone. Why is everyone always so black and white on this issue? Remove crossfaction play restrictions. Allow players to decide who they play with while still leaving the Factions intact.
