So people have straight up stopped going into old world content, or even content that is current. They sit around all day in org and stormwind trashtalking in trade, and queueing up to run mythic+ keys, because that is the ONLY relevant content.
Why not make some older content relevant?
For example, those quests to “support the horde” or “support the alliance” by donating resources sound like a good start. What if those support quests each earned you some sort of token, and when you reached say 250 tokens, you could turn them in for a special token that guaranteed your next mythic+ would drop a piece of gear relevant to you?
Also, while we are on the topic, why do we have only current content supply missions? Why can’t the missions be to donate old world resources like resources from pandaria or wod?
If this system were implemented, people would be out and about farming in the open world, which leads to small scale wpvp, while at the same time reducing the number of people in the capitals, reducing server load, which means less sharding would be required.
A sure way to make new content irrelevant is to make a dozen different avenues of content, because eleven of them are going to end up not being as effective to the overall progression of the game.
I see ppl all the time in every zone i go to
even questing was getting crowded in a few zones when my pally was in her 40’s she hit 70 last night still see ppl all over - even in outland
Even see plenty of pvp horde killing flight masters - Tho there not to smart most that are in outland have flying
I pretty much hang out in old content nowadays making gold and farming, Afraid Blizzard is going to ruin it though in the future, its really what keeps me in wow, Horrendous Que times and Pug groups just isn’t exciting for me anymore. People say join a guild, I say no thanks to the drama.
I have more fun trash talking in trade then i do mindlessly doing Islands and wq’s. I ain’t going to hop on blizzard’s perpetual treadmill, im tired of it.
