Get New Character Customizations in Seeds of Renewal

Transmog, hide pants when?

You don’t know how much I want scars and new hairstyles. :dracthyr_cry: Especially the latter for Void Elves. Our options suck right now, and all of them are so stringy-looking, especially for the men.

And for any weirdos who want to go into “BUT VOID ELVES HAVE ALL CUSTOMIZATIONS EVAR” - they barely have half of their sister race’s customizations. Sit down and go cry about your own race, not belittle a different one.

You and Worgens definitely deserve way more fur patterns and colors than you have!

Void Elves have some of the highest number of customizations in game right now. They aren’t at the front of the line as far as that goes.

This, as an example. Void Elves have twice as many customization options than Vulpera. Which should be a bit telling.

New female troll faces when?

Thats great and all but a far cry from what folk been asking for for… everything.

Really wish they’d do a lot more than this, but I am happy they’re at least doing a little tiny bit.

Like for real though, so many races, no really all the races, are substandard for the customizations Blizzard COULD do for all of them with relatively little effort. I cannot imagine they don’t have a pipeline that couldn’t put out 20 new items every week if they really tried… this is just… so little. So very little.

The release of the race customization should be consistent with the content of the patch. An elven storyline patch should have elven content added, just as a troll, gnome, or other race storyline patch should have troll, gnome, or other race content added at the same time. Additional customizations for other races should be added at the same time, but it doesn’t make sense to have no customization content for the race that has a patch focused on it.

You really need to rethink your content releases and tie the proposed content together…

I find it funny to try and read the expressions of the Darkglares:

Darkglare: Angry
Observer: ANGY!
Durumu: Absolutely disgusted. Also angry lol

Sure, it’s a little cringe that it’s tied to an ability, but you do have the observer option with customization. I know blizzard has already stated why they had to make that change, as a previous warlock main it wasn’t cool, but it is what it is.

Still no new Pandaren customization options, sad.

How are color wheels/sliders not a thing yet for skin/hair color?

I somewhat get why deform options aren’t available, since the multitude of information that would need to be present to render people in places like Val would be painful.

But adding 3 short unsigned integers for hair and 3 for skin color is too hard?

I don’t see it as “cringe.” I see it as a middle finger to those of us who used and loved our permanent pet for a decade— and the roleplayers that used it for storyline, as well. And no, having a battle pet doesn’t make up for the actual warlock pet.

I get it’s not important to some people and that customizing a cooldown is also okay to some. But it’s not to me. :frowning:

Neat!
Just quietly marveling at how three hair colors last patch was “too much”, yet it’s below bare minimum now, to some people.

Weren’t your mains a Druid and Hunter, when did you play a Warlock?

Yeah, we asked for something, Blizzard gave it to us, and people still somehow find a way to complain about it. It’s kind of sad.

People should just be happy we’re getting more options and that Blizzard are actively working on improving the customizations for each race… instead, we get a thread like this.

Because every slight variation would need to be a potential option that someone could see on load, and instead of having hundreds of options you’d have calls to…a lot more. Math. Scaling. Big.

The rubber bands and twine holding together the ramshackle Howl’s Moving Castle of code in the game can’t handle that many potential variations to account for sliders unless they completely redesign the game modeling system and how it renders things and still run on absolute potatoes of computers, which they need it to be able to do for max subscribers.

There would need to be a complete game code system overhaul, and they’re just not willing to go to that kind of time and expense for minor variations on visual differences, is my guess.

What are you talking about?

Belves getting three hair colors, and the rabble rousers ran with it.

That was also my first thought. The skins are already in the game.

You’ll have to show me where people threw a fit and claimed it’s “too much” to give out three hair colors.

Now, if you’re talking about people constantly grumping over how Belfs/Helfs never stop asking for stuff constantly, then that’s another topic entirely.

These per customizations are awesome, but can DKs get the ability to customize our ghouls too? I wanna give my ghoul a goofy little hat.
