You have a point there … the hardest part of any remix heroic dungeon now is not getting left behind and locked out of bosses fights because the tank can solo the dungeon by himself.
Like in heroic world tier? You should not be leveling there, I tried, it’s not great.
Just level doing raids, dungeons, quests, etc. That’s what I did.
Remix basically just consists of running through brain-afk in five minutes.
They’ve already built in a baby button that lets any five-year-old master WoW by literally pressing a single key… and even if you don’t do that, in most cases it’s enough to just follow behind and pick up the loot.
Right-click report. If they do it constantly, also right-click ignore.
Problem solved because you will no longer see them and if people actually use the report system, people breaking the rules will get muted or suspended.
Also guild discipline is up to the GM and whoever they appoint as officers (I say this as a GM), trade chat is… something most decent people have turned off, just DON’T GO IN TRADE CHAT.
Guilds are optional, if you don’t like a guild, leave… no one is reasonably holding you hostage, and if they harass you after you leave? Report them THEN, because you are no longer their associate, you’re not bound by their rules, they’re bound by Blizzard’s to leave you alone, if they don’t want to ask nicely why you left and correct the issue sensibly.
It doesn’t work. Either they’re using a very BAD AI algorithm, or they gutted the CS department. I report trade spammers all day….. and none ever get banned. Even people saying racist crap.
newsflash… women are people.
That and the question of how to run through Remix dungeons even though op already did Mop Remix, makes me wonder whether the complaint might not be entirely the others’ fault.
it’s simple, people that play online games aren’t playing to socialize anymore like they did pre-Facebook era
Reports aren’t instant punishment. People do get hit with punishments. Only way your report won’t work is if you are actively engaging with the person instead of doing things the proper way of reporting and ignoring.
daily, someone is trying to ragebait someone else into talking about politics or human rights by saying something despicable….. and they never get muted or banned.
Sounds like a guild that I would personally quit pretty quickly if it was that hostile an environment. Lack of moderation is not necessarily “laid back; we’re all adults” so if it doesn’t fit, don’t stay.
If you ask for help with ANYTHING as a new player….. you’re gonna get hated on
Making sweeping generalizations of ALL players based on your specific bad experience with a single guild is pretty naïve. Statistically speaking, a sample size of less than 20 is likely insignificant to draw any inferential conclusions from. It’s woefully inadequate if the metric is binary (pass/fail, good/bad, great/sucks, etc.), which needs a sample of 100 trials just to get the confidence interval down to ±5%.

My story was joining one of the dragon roleplaying guilds. They were overly nice to me when I was new, but I remember their leader belittling me in the Discord VC over my understanding of Storm Dragons in the lore.
Following that, one day a bit of quest dialogue prompted me to discuss deep lore on the Black Dragonflight’s corruption in the Discord.
It was this quest dialogue https://i.ibb.co/TqrrCC2N/Quest-A-Tower-Yonder.png , seemingly suggesting the Black Dragonflight may have always been a little corrupt, even before they fell. Or at least that was my interpretation of the dialogue at the time.
I got banned quite quickly for being “racist”. No I’m not joking. Needless to say, their leader was quite toxic and authoritarian… it felt like a highschool clique.
They were super friendly to me until my “new guildie” novelty wore off. My advice OP is just be careful with the obnoxiously ‘nice’ ones… I still deal with their rumors about me. Fortunately I don’t bend easily.
someone is trying to ragebait someone else
Welcome to the internet since day 1.
This your first time here?

(Herne during routine guild drills)
It’s hard for guilds to naturally form nowadays. It used to be, at least I think it was, that if you group up with a bunch of people often enough you maybe get together and form a guild.
Today it would be a small miracle if you ever saw the same person twice.
I think this is blizzard’s motivation with the new thing that shows you people you recently interacted with. To try to make you remember you recently did something with this person and may want to do another thing with them
Why do you need help running heroic dungeons? Just queue up.
He doesn’t. We know the reason reason he made this thread.
It’s Sunday and this:
a person was having a baby, why say person, only women can have babies, trans people aren’t real
I was waiting for the catch and I was surprised it was in the 4th post.
Truth be told, I’m in a guild and I don’t think I’ve ran anything with the group. My husband and I just do our own thing. We joined a guild simply for the perks.
However, I will say this for my guild, they are super helpful. Boss Lady Pink has to be one of the greatest people I have ever encountered in this game.
I recommend you find a new guild. There’s nothing wrong with switching.
then, daily, someone is trying to ragebait someone else into talking about politics or human rights by saying something despicable
As Obi-wan once said, “You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than a casual guild.” But seriously, your average casual player is pretty toxic. The reason is simple: There is no social consequence.
I remember, back in vanilla, there was a mage named Stillwater on my realm whom ninja’d an epic that he couldnt use so he could sell it on the AH. The guy was practically banned from end-game groups, and was constantly brow-beaten publicly after that… It was so bad that he name changed, but people found out it was him, and eventually he ended up realm changing to escape.
^ That isn’t a fear in modern WoW due to how easy it is to group.

That’s absolutely dumb.
I mean…wow.
I have no other words for just how dumb that is.
Sorry that happened to you. No one deserves that type of treatment.
I only have two personality settings as a Guild Manager: Full Metal Jacket and lovable idiot.
