Genn Greymane is an Aggressor

If you think about it, Genn is the reason the war continued after the defeat of the legion. the guy just attacks the forsaken because they needed to retreat and started a 3 way conflict on the broken isles. Yes, the Attack on Gilneas did get his son killed and his home destroyed, but he disobeyed his king by breaking the stand still with the horde and focus fighting the Legion, without any knowledge of the Hordes side of the story.

not to mention hes supposed to be friends of the night elves, but sees no problem in turning their warden towers into fortresses? Don’t get me wrong, Genn is a good character for the most part, but he does have a lot to answer for himself, and I don’t think it should be overlooked that him and Jaina caused the faction conflict on the broken isles.

And now against the judgement of his new king, he openly defies his wishes and joins the Night elves campaign in darkshore do to a loyalty he didn’t seem to have in Legion. Like I didn’t even see him help Tyrande or Malfurion in aszuna, he was busy starting a conflict with the forsaken I guess.

anduin has 0 authority over genn.
Sylvanas caused the conflict by invading his damn neutral nation in an unprovoked attack.

Eye for an eye I suppose, the Horde assisting in wreaking his Kingdom and then we took it.

unprovoked attack… in her territory.

They are going to reply to you with a technicality about Andiuns authority or signed peace agreement.

Nevermind that all that was in the wind when Genn set sail to Stormheim.

unprovoked attack in her territory? what the hell are you talking about?
the gilneas did nothing to provoke the forsakens.

forsaken needed more territory, and Sylvanas technically has a right to all of the eastern kingdoms since she was the ruler of Lordaeron. he was still ordered to recognize a standstill on the Broken Isles, which he failed to do.

By that logic, worgen are not in the alliance

Genn character is forever tied to Sylvanas because she direcly managed to conquer his Kingdom and almost wipe it from the map, although it was a Horde proper campaign.

“forsaken needed more territory” hmm? they din’t had any right to attack gilneas, forsakens drew the first blood.

He wasn’t ordered to do anything, just advidced high king is a honorary title, he can refuse if he wants.

You can still be in the alliance and act in your own, alliance nations can chose to support it or not.

they all agreed to a standstill, and the king ordered them to work with the horde, he betrayed that promise. you can bend it how you want, but genn is still morally flawed as a character, and should to an extent be punished for his treason.

Sylvanas technically has a right to all of the northern eastern kingdoms since she was the strongest military presence.

See?

Andiuns authority.
And signed agreements.
No matter the context.

What did I say lol?
All the damn time the same excuses.

What treason? LOL.

the king can’t order anything.
genn’s advice was follow and engage if it was necessary, genn concluded that it was necessary and so he did.
No one can punish him.
if anduin wanted to punish genn he would declare war on gilneas.

Greymane is the King of his own Kingdom. Manduin has no authority over Genn or Gilneas.

you need to have a kingdom to be a king, plus he already gave his allegiance to the alliance, so acting against the alliance best interest is still treason.

That’s not how alliance work. That’s like saying NATO head can order other countries around.

a kingdom is their people.

And he can retire it anytime he wants.

This is not the horde, there is no blue warchief.
And in the end he did acted in the alliance best interest by stopping sylvanas.

That’s literally not how the alliance works though. It is a group of nations that are in an alliance. Anduin’s title of High King merely denotes that Stormwind is the head state of the Alliance. He has the most say in how things are going to operate, but member states aren’t signing over their autonomy to Stormwind. Meanwhile, with the Horde, it seems that when you join it, you hand over your military’s autonomy and keep your right to govern your own land. If you even have any.

What happens when you don’t follow the orders when you are a military employee? you get punished.

Genn get paid by his people not anduin.

Remember the time when Tyrande disobeyed Andiun and tried to go to darkshore with her army and got called a traitor?
