For how truly awful he is as a “human” and as a leader, and for how insufferable he is as a character.
Baine catches a lot of strays from the community, and rightfully so, but Genn should be equally as despised, if not more. Baine may be useless, but Genn actively harms the interests of those around him at all times with his self righteous crusades.
Please kill off this abhorrent character in the World Soul saga.

I disagree with the community about Baine. In SL Baine was awful and terrible and worthless… in DF he was actually interesting and believable as an honorable warrior leader type character.
Genn, I have no idea why people like him, he’s literally just angry and complaining all the time.

Baine: “What is my purpose in SL?”
Danyouknowwho: “You sit in a corner, for the whole expansion.”
Baine: “Oh my God.”

That filthy dog doesn’t get recognition from me is because he refused to aid Lodaeron against the Scourge, and look at Gilneas now. Where was Gilneas when the beacons were lit and Lodaeron called for aid?!
That filthy dog called for Orc genocide after the second war.
Last he checked, he was the king of Gilneas, not Anduin. (Hey looked, Anduin is actually a LOTR location, ties in perfectly)
I think Genn being horrible is the point. Liam was by contrast the perfect leader for Gilneas and ends up dying for his father.

Lodaeron asked for aid from Gilneas, the help never arrived, and the whole city turned into Forsaken.

The worgen curse is Genn’s fault. Even the forsaken are somewhat his problem. Cata is literally almost just karmic retribution for everything he did wrong. It’s almost tragic that he’s now going to be alive to see Gilneas again.

AND horde are tasking with rebuilding Gilneas. This is such a slap in the face of the Forsaken.

I would even argue Gilneas and the Gilneans would be in a better position today if Darius Crowley was in charge
But still, fast forward to today, Genn is still just a bitter old man who’s hellbent on revenge for events he caused, and he still has so much undeserved pride and arrogance
Which was especially irksome given the tauren heritage questline involved an attack from evil spirits, and Baine sees his parents. Seemed like there could have been some interesting follow up to that in SL.
They’re not going to kill him off. They’re giving him the Malfurion treatment.
For the next decade he’ll be off screen “rebuilding his nation”, he’ll be busy and not able to take part in any of the players events.
Sounds just like the WoW community if you ask me. Maybe we just all see ourselves in him.

The Alliance had to de-blight the Undercity (OUR Lordaeron!) After THEIR OWN PEOPLE plagued it.
So don’t give me any of that “I don’t want to help The Alliance with their problems. It’s a slap in the face to the Forsaken!” Since we literally had the opposite last expansion.
I find Genn insufferable, but I’m understandably biased.
It was troll city before any of you even existed.
Dude ran his city into the ground. It’s just bad business to give him any more credit.
Technically everything was. Besides, you can’t really talk either.
You’re literally an alien that invaded the planet and we let you live.
Not really an Alien when we descended from Grond who was created by Aggramar.
You’re not native to Azeroth. Therefore you are a foreign, alien organism to the planet.
