- Constant disconnections when mounted.
- Constant disconnections when flying.
- Reliable disconnections when doing dungeons.
- Excessive (2400 ms) lag at random times during gameplay, then disconnect.
Now, before any of you say it’s my ISP or connection, you are wholly incorrect. I have network monitors running and have captured Blizz servers just not responding for 10-300 seconds at a time. Mid game. This happens on my laptop at well from my work fiber ISP. Same conditions. My question is why is Blizzard doing this? It sure would be nice if they explained why their servers just stop communicating, disconnect you in the middle of a flight path, then drop you 500’ to your death when you reconnect. Why dungeons are unstable AF, etc.
It’s to the point that I can’t really play the game with any consistency. What gives Blizz?
No issues here … your IP must be trash
If it were on Blizzard’s end, the forums would be lit up with thousands of screams from the customer base. I’m not seeing that.
I’d suggest posting on Tech Support so that someone can help you with a trace so you can find out where in the chain you’re having latency issues.
No issues here. If it was a Blizz thing, there would be outrage on GD. It is your ISP / home network / computer.
I am having problems as well. I was just booted from the game.
I’ve disconnected on flight paths but that’s it. I haven’t experienced any of the other problems you’ve mentioned and I haven’t heard my friends complain about them either.
Sorry bud but I think you might be a problem on your end.
Definitely a you problem.
Been dropped maybe 3 times since release of Shadowlands, and that was when Blizz was dealing with DDOS attacks.
Couple of my guildies were having similar issues with horrendous lag, they ended up having to change their ISP cause ATT was trash.
Could be an ISP routing problem
Are you using WiFi? If so, are there too many other devices on the network? Are you using b/g wifi, and if so, is there a microwave nearby the ap / your computer?
Do you have other people on your network? Are they taking up all the available bandwidth?
Do you have updates running (Windows / Steam / etc) that might be taking up all your bandwidth?
Do you have something taking up all of your upload bandwidth. This is something most people don’t take into consideration, but upload speed (more often than not, FAR slower than your rated download speed) is important too, and fairly easy to cap out.
Anything that is capping out your bandwidth (upload or download) will result in high latency and frequent disconnects.
I would let your ISP know that you are having disconnect issues and give them the IP address for the Blizz servers.
They can trace the route between you and Blizz to see where in the chain the log-jam is occurring.
Likely its on your end, as people have stated if it was on blizzards end, you wouldn’t be the only one here complaining.
If I had to guess, you have restricted ports that games tend to use to send out packets. You can send them out just fine but upon returning, theyre hitting that restriction and having to work around it, causing DCs.
I ran more then 10 total keys on my alt dk and have no loot from my weekly chest under mythic plus. great game
