Please add in here. Somethings I’ve only just realized that some of you may already know, but might help the masses:
- Bloodlust affects vehicle attack speed
- Mostly common knowledge, you can ride shotgun in a Demolisher and attack players. Great if you’re ranged.
- You can use the RPG (in WG, dont know if its in IOC) while riding shotgun and you won’t be interrupted
- Atonement seems to work on vehicles, but may not be enough to really make a diff. Can’t shield, etc. Best way is to Renew
Anything else?

Not really secret tech but I can add some bullet points.
IOC
-
The Western Tower Cannon closest to the gate can be used to stop flag caps of the Keep Flag. It can buy you some time if it is a race to the finish.
-
Catapults can used at the base of the keep towers to keep the gun’s gassed and damaging the players inside the turret as well.
-
If you flip Workshop and then get Hangar you can bring a demo up to Hangar and fire on the WS flag to stop caps.
-
Don’t run bombs unless you are sub 5% gate health and the airship needs another pass.
WG
-
Fight on the flag at workshops. Don’t stand 30 yards back trying to kill repeated rez waves that are fighting on the flag. Your healers will OOM, they will get enough kills to build cata’s and demo’s and wipe you.
-
Once upon a time Rogue’s could shadowstep to the turrets of the keep. Not sure if that is still the case. Druids could feral charge in cat form up to the turrets but that pathing was fixed. There is a hill that allows hunters to disengage to a turret platform. 1 min Camo won’t do much for you there unless you are trying to kill demo’s on spawn.
-
Defensive Demo’s spawned in the keep can shoot over the walls and hit Demo’s and Seiges engaged with a wall.

The IOC canon trick on Alliance side I’ve used before. It even won one close game. But, by default they cannot hit the flag in my experience. They have to be destroyed first and then repaired. Idk if where one stands when repairing affects how far they can swing, but I want to say yes (could be my imgination tho lol). And I usually use the middle one. Mostly, this is annoyance factor for the Horde. They eventually figure it out and run up the tower.

so many words and none of them “buy gliders”.
Thanks, some of these I actually didn’t know!

Appreciate sharing the tips, but if it’s a synced premade vs. a pug it doesn’t really matter. And pugs who still need to learn these things don’t read the forums.
if ur a mage/shammy/evoker pls use ur bloodlust/time warp ability on team fight.
i cant tell u how many times im sitting there YELLING AND BEGGING for it to be used… and sometimes it doesnt get used at all. blows my mind
Who PvP’s anywhere not rated without gliders or as an engineer?

It really is amazing how people don’t play engineer or take every profession/item advantage given to them in pvp.
9/10 times some knucklehead cast hero or lust at the opening of the gates.
it’s easier to complain that “they” have them and how unfair it is even if it’s available to everyone.
I have a hard time buying the hidden glider pocket that stores the glider, so I don’t use 'em.
But I’m totally okay with the hidden mount pocket. So I use my mount on my pali…hmmm, but not on my druid.
Whatcha gonna do?
Somewhat of a Horde-specific IoC observation, but I notice lots of pugs make this mistake: at the very start of the match, instead of using a glider they’ll just “run off” the cliff outside the Eastern gate (the gate closest to hangar)… and then instantly take like 50% of their healthbar in fall damage, which means they get to the hangar with 40-50% health already missing🤦♂️
The correct way is to glider off and take 0 fall damage, but pugs are not the brightest I suppose
My winning tip?
Don’t queue for epic BGs other than to finish the weekly conquest.
and then arrive slower to hangar and have to push uphill through a choke point anyway.
Or everyone uses shadowflame rocket / dragon fruit and just does 30% less damage for the fight because they can’t use crimson embers.
Just buy a stack of 20 from a vendor.
Hehe, I’m talking RP here Snowcrest! RP! Where the heck am I going to store one friggin glider, let alone 20? It makes no sense.
But a magic horse that appears from somewhere when I call, okay, that is reasonable. Ohh my Vulperan Shammy just came back, so they call Mollie, the Alpaca…the magic alpaca.
Edit: Have you ever seen a Vulperan on an alpaca?..now THAT is magic right there!
Crazy right how not everyone wants to be an engineer and/or min-max a silly computer game 300%.

Blizz should simply fix the terrain in IoC. They need to fix that to be the same lack of a drop for horde and also even out the flat area on the top of hangar hill for both sides.
That would make sense if it took any sort of effort to do so outside of reading a guide for 10mins and spending some gold/tokens
