I am 701 ilvl and curious if this is enough for a +6? Is there a website or something that says the appropriate ilvl for certain level keys? Thanks!

That’s enough for 10s.
Current M+ rating, and historical rating (if they look at your r io page) are more likely to get you invites than just an inflated item level.

Overqualified for 6s. You can run 10s at this ilvl.
For 6s I’d say minimum 685 ilvl, otherwise you’ll just explode with any AOE dmg.

For a +6 average iv seen for a +2 in Pug is around 690
685 for sane people. 722+ for most pug group leaders.

That’s perfectly fine. Should take it slow, see where your comfort level is, and then adapt as needed. But from a strict numbers perspective, you’re more than ready for 10s.

Like others have said you’re easily geared enough for 10s.
It’s hard to ascribe an ilevel requirement for key level because that changes over the course of the season as average ilevels rise.
Your ilvl is fine, as a tank its mostly just about familiarity with the dungeon layouts and having a semi decent % route, you can still miss a pack and go back with some time for 6s pretty easy unless something else went terribly wrong before hand.
Anything 675 or higher will survive no problem with some base defensive competency up to hero farm 7s and probably 10s with a good group.
If you wanted to dps id say probabaly 690 at this point just because people are picky this late in.

690 is fine for 6s, You get Hero gear there so farm them for crest and upgrade your ilvl to 704+
I’m tanking 7-9s at 704 and feels comfortable. 700ilvl for 8s is more than enough too.
It’s a great ilvl to farm crests at those keys and upgrade your gear to hero slots.
For 2-4s I brought a 665 healer and he was getting hit hard… but we survived. You don’t want to get 1 shotted because how low hp.

Since season 2 I think if one can do an m0 comfortably, then they will be able to time an m6 as well, since the affix largely negates the scaling and there is no tyrannical or fortified to actually make mechanics deadly.
M0 drop champion track so 690ish should be enough.
But at this point of the season ofc everyone everywhere expect way higher ilvl than what is necessary, simply because they can.
710 is starting to become the norm, even more so it will be (on alts as well) if the caps get removed which is very soon.

If you are pugging you shoukd go as high as you can on your ilvl. People wants to becarried theybwill chose someone with higher ilvl despite the lvl of content not requiring it

General tww rule is about 10 ilvl under the rewards.
15 under if you’re amazing. 10 under if average. 5 under if you’re not a strong player.

If the group leader is a rational player and recognises gear is only part of being able to complete a key, then your ivl is more than fine.For example i have a 712 ivl havoc and have completed a dungeon on 7-8 and yet i get declined when farming crests this the player base mentality.
The highest ivl this week is 723 in the world yet sometimes i cant get into a 6-7 key.How many times have you joined a group and a high ivl does less dps than the tank?
When i list my key if a see a player with high IO but a lower gear score i will generally take them over someone who has miraculously done all 10s but no low keys just reeks of paid carries.Also too many players think if you arent Meta your not viable sadly the mdi distorts reality that classes are viable for most content unless your a complete min/maxer and pushing bleeding edge raids and super high keys.

There’s no genereal ilvl but people wont take you if your rating/ilvl/experience with said dungeon is bad.
