Gems in sockets greyed out

I picked up two Ilvl 350 pieces of gear with sockets from the anniversary event, and the gems in these sockets are now greyed out and providing no benefit to my character (they were before the patch)

Having the same issue with a weapon from the Anniversary event.
Hammer of Bestial Fury with a socket, unequipped and re-equipped just to check and not getting the 40agi from the gem in it.
Everything else that has a gem in it seems to be working properly, so maybe just a bug relating to anniversary drops?

I assume this may be related to the patch note “Level 111-120 gems can no longer be placed into the sockets of items from previous expansions.” Guess these were incorrectly labeled Legion items despite dropping during BFA?

The 40 vers gem also isn’t working with my Boots of Fright from the anniversary event. They’re ilvl 350.

This is affecting me as well, was this intentional? My ring is ilvl 350 and my BFA gem is grayed out.

Still bugged? Is anyone looking at this or is it working as intended? Am I expected to buy new rings for all my alts that have these?

You sure were fast to revert the unuseable Profession armor change today.

Experiencing this as well on my warrior. Guessing the code reflects item name and not item level? Only logical explanation I can think of. Has anyone had issues with Timewalking gear not displaying gems?

Happening to me as well on this character.

Same issue here… got an Amberseal Keeper with a socket in it during the anniversary event, and now it’s greyed out.

I’d be ok with either fixing the bug or just swapping it out with a like ilvl item… Shrug

Still bugged as of tonight, sure would love for this to be fixed.

My Masterful Argulite +11 mastery in my Helm of the Faceless 210 Timewarped helm is greyed out. However, 11 haste in legion content gear is active. 11 stat is dismiss-able, ill just socket something else.

Until such time as this is fixed (if ever), the best gems you can currently use are Saber’s Eye or Legion epic gems.

Better than nothing.

This has been fixed! Credit where due; thank you for fixing the issue!
