Anyone else found this quest especially dark at the end?

No because I haven’t done it yet but I do know that IRL gems, like most jewelry, seems to like to travel around because it always either gets lost, is stolen, goes missing somehow.
Yeah that ending was pretty metal.

Nah, it’s just a classic story about the price of avarice. Probably stories similar to it stretching deep into antiquity, probably even prehistory.

Saw the standing stones and looked what was on them and realized, this is not going to end well.

Yes. I know WoW isn’t supposed to be unicorns and rainbows but that was certainly an unexpected turn of events.

Rock dude is lucky the quest told us to leave. We’ve killed plenty of elementals for far less than that.
