Am I understanding this correctly.
You need 12,500 Honor for one gem socket. And you can have up to 8 total gem sockets. 100,000 honor.
Per character.
Or shell out a ton of gold for the bloodstones I guess. I certainly don’t have 30k gold to drop on one gem socket.
Am I missing something?

You can get blood stones from world PVP crates and from those boxes you get for winning BG’s and arena.
i mean u can just ignore max sockets…ur losing like 2-3% give or take stat?
I’m just using my honor to buy and sell gems for now. Making a lot of gold this way. Not going to actually socket anything until I’m done collecting all the gear. By then, the market prices for the gems will have dipped enough.

Yeah I guess that’s the option I’ll be taking. Just kind of crazy to me that it takes that much.
I wanted to funnel honor to my alts also!
Think of it as if u wanna go above and beyond u have something u can grind. But if u dont want to u wont lose a game because of it.
Id just get enough honor for one of the main stat gems then stop. (Or another socket if you use elemental focusing lens)
Yeah I’m about 4k honor away from my main stat gem and first socket.
I guess it’s not a big deal to not go for max sockets but for some of the embellishments they get better with multiple gems I believe up to 5 total.
Yeah I would avoid them. Just get stun dmg reduction or snare gem
In Dragonflight, it would have taken at least 5 weeks to fill your vault enough to get all the sockets.
Blizzard had to offset that you can now grind your sockets as quickly as you want.
Lets not forget BFA socket system. 5 mask vision runs x5 at the minimum per socket. And we had sockets on every piece of gear? good times.
Do sockets from vault not work on PvP gear.
I know you can’t get vault from PvP, but delves are stupid easy.
No, the Nerubian Gemweaver item does not work on PvP gear.
Interesting. Ok.
Honestly I’m glad to have something useful to do with all that honor.
