I buy gems that socket to 200+ armor and takes all gem colors. The stats on the gems in AH say +60 crit and +28 haste. However, when i go to socket it, it says +19 crit and + 9 haste.
Why? It does this for every gem and items I socket them to.
Item enhancements (gems, enchants, threads, etc) scale with the level of the player wearing them. The listed stats are for max level. If you look them up on Wowhead there is a slider underneath the description that lets you see what they will scale down to at lower levels.
The good news is it will “level up” with you.
