My gem slot and my Enduring Bloodstone have disappeared from my helmet. I used a Nerubian Gemweaver for the slot so not only did i waste thousands of gold, also wasted an entire weekly vault. I only have one helm so I don’t have the wrong one equipped and I’ve tried relogging and reloading UI to ensure it’s not a visual bug. Anyone else seen this happen? I am beyond mad
Which character is affected by this issue?
Have you done a full UI reset (as detailed in Support article linked below) to rule out a misbehaving addon or corrupted UI?
Please note, this is not the same as disabling addons OR doing a /reload of your UI.
Just to rule it out, did you run the piece through the catalyst?
No; i figured that was unnecessary because my character page on Worldofwarcraft. blizzard. com doesn’t show the gem either. Also doesn’t show the gem when I am inspected by a friend. Item was already ran through catalyst before i put the slot on. made tier PvP helm then got the gem slot from weekly vault and put it on my helm. I’ve had the slot and gem equipped for days and haven’t changed or touched anything. didn’t even upgrade my helm at the item upgrade npc. just completely disappeared
Hmm, comments on Wowhead are suggesting that the Nerubian Gemweaver should NOT work on PVP gear items.

If that is indeed the case, it seems like it would have been a bug that allowed it to be placed on your helm.
If so, it might have happened due to the helm not starting out as a PVP gear item, but being made into one via the Catalyst.
Either way, this would need to be reported as a bug.

Wow what a waste. So they take my money and weekly loot then my slot and gem. just wonderful
You’re more than welcome to ticket in and ask to see if they’ll consider compensation, but keep your expectations low. They’re pretty consistent on not refunding something that’s considered an unintended benefit.
PvP gem settings can be purchased from Hotharn going forward.
Yeah i already have a ticket open. Also I’d say unintended benefit is very arguable to say the least, especially considering how vague the tooltip is. I’d say just about anyone else that purchased it and was able to use it wouldn’t see any red flags or question it. reasonably, I’d say liability is completely on them and it would be abhorrent to not give me my wasted items back. This whole thing is just absurd and frustrating.
I wouldn’t, to be perfectly honest. Particularly when you take into consideration that PvP does not help you purchase any item from the Vault merchant.
That would give people who PvP two options for purchasing gem settings but people that don’t PvP only one option? I can’t even begin to fathom the outcry.
