Damn man I knew it was gonna be hard but now realizing the reality of it: 2 of my bis are devilsaur and 2 of my bis are world drop purple axes as an Orc.
Just a friendly reminder to occasionally let your fury warrior grab an item that they need, it seems to be one of the hardest classes to find pre-raid BiS items on!
So far I’ve got the ring from maraudon and my devilsaur gloves (which I purchased), meanwhile my prot warrior buddy has 8 bis pieces and my resto druid buddy has 5 bis pieces, all just from drops, not having purchased anything.
It’s a long climb to the top, but so far it has been fun and I already seem to do pretty decent damage. Anyways this is my rant post “it’s hard to gear a fury warrior!”
Not really. Go tank dungeons and take the tank gear and dps gear. Ez pz.

At my level, BRD is my only real content (I could have a group drag me through LBRS). Well, I think only 2 fury bis items drop in BRD (aside from world drops) and they’re both tiny percent chance of dropping.
You could opt for the next best thing.
I think it’s safe to say we’re at a stage of the game where having the bis gear isn’t really necessary.

This. People are obsessed with “BIS”. Just hit 60 and get blues. There are good ones that aren’t but a fraction of a percent behind “BIS”.

Yeah I think what I’ve got measures up to bis pretty nicely actually. I’ve got the horde hit rating trinket instead of HoJ and I’ve got the deathdealer breastplate which is sorta good but definitely no savage gladiator chest.
Poor fury. Has 3 armor classes to poach from. Want hard? Try being a rogue fighting both hunters and fury warriors for the exact same gear even though they only have leather to work with.
This is the truth

Rogue needs devilsaur but not two boe one handed axes and doesn’t need the savage gladiator chain either.
You are only thinking in terms of your final BiS preraid. Along the way you arent going to ignore items like Truestrike shoulders, Dal’rends and Eye of rend
Truestrike is the final bis preraid. Me personally I am going to ignore dal’rend’s because I already got tooth of eranikus which personally seems a bit stronger as long as I get a decent offhand for it soon.
Exactly. A lot of leather is your BiS, and Hunters too. Waaaay harder for rogues to gear. Fury has it rather easy with all their options and their ability to tank their way to their best gear if they want easier grouping

We definitely don’t have it easier because the top end items are way harder for us to find.
But you can tank all of the instances and guarantee yourself a group with any reserve you want.
Stop making things harder on yourself and only going to instances as DPS while there is a perpetual tank shortage.

Not only that, but if I’m not mistaken, these are “pure numbers” best in slot, meaning it doesn’t account for anything like party-wide / raid-wide damage, times where you have to move around, etc. It’s all about perfect execution on a Patchwerk style boss.
You can tank MC in Valor. It’ll be a little tougher, but you can. You can also DPS MC in Valor. It’s not ideal, but it works.
Get some gear, hit things (or make them hit you) and enjoy the game without number crunching everything.

No it isn’t. I’ll demonstrate.
Fury warrior dings to 60 This fury warrior is now geared for raids.
Finding your pre-raid bis stuff is a time sink once you lose the leveling time sink. It isn’t a benchmark you need before you step into a raid
You don’t need any of that. I don’t understand people’s obsession with “bis”.
You could farm dalrends for weapons.
Vice grip/blademaster are decent enough for glove/leg.
Btw, you can tank dungeons while gearing for your fury. This already makes warrior a hell of lot easier to gear than rogue, which has no such option. A smart warrior would respec prot at 60, farm all his fury gear with easy tank slots, then promptly respec back.
