Hi, came for Classic, stayed for retail. I have a question about gearing up my characters. It seems like with the item level of heroic dungeons there is really no reason to bother with the lower level LFRs. Am I missing something?
No, that’s right. LFR is more of a tourist mode to see the content, not really part of the gearing path, u less you plan to never do 5 man content.

Interesting. It seems like LFR is more work than 5 mans. In my short time back I’ve seen some repeated wipes in LFR, not sure I’ve seen any in a heroic.
There are raid quests that can be completed in lfr without have to interact with anyone or be any good at the game. Otherwise, it’s story mode.
You’ll have a better experience running normal/heroic over slogging through lfr. If you hate yourself, you could run it for the chance at a lottery tf proc.
Yep, LFR is there if you want to try out the raids without committing to an actual raid group (or finding a PUG which can be equally annoying, especially if you’re inexperienced).
