I’m getting back in to my holy priest as an alt. Are the stat weights for M+ and raid different than what I think they are?
M+ : Haste/Crit > Mastery
Raid: Haste/Mastery > Crit
Cri Mas will net you most healing.
but if you get innervate then go Cri, haste, especially if u have Flash concentration.
If dungeons it’s Crit, haste, ver
Thanks, time to start farming for pieces!
Forget mastery for M+.
Keys: Crit/Haste -> Vers
Raid: Mastery/Crit
Right now for raids I have 41% mastery and 17% crit
For M+ I got 24% crit and 20% Haste.
I can’t comment on M+ atm, although I also stack mastery for that as well.
For Raid, your secondary stats depend on your legendary.
Harmonious Apparatus: Haste/Mastery with a side of crit somewhere in there. Haste will bring your CoH and Mending off CD more often for more holy words.
Flash Concentration: Mastery/Crit will scale the hardest.
I’ll probably have to revisit M+, although I’m still of the opinion that mastery isn’t so bad there once you start getting your heals rolling on a tank, which is going to happen one way or another.
I think the full mastery build for M+ can’t really shine at this early in the expansion. Right now the maximum Mastery I could get is 42% and still not max ilvl tho.
I’m at 45% with rings that aren’t 100% focused in it. And I find it really does shine when tanks begin getting trucked. That being said, I’ve skimped on my M+ in lieu of pvp.
I don’t think hpriest mastery is generally good in m+ as it was in legion/bfa.
There isn’t long periods of constant damage for it to mature effect with most fights being spike damage.
At 195 with flash leggo 1-2 Heals at 5 stacks is enough to keep most people up on a 7.
BFA is weird because most tanks had immense self sustain. The situation in Shadowlands is quite different for the moment.
You’ll find as you progress above +10 that tanks take plenty of damage and will require some amount of attention.
And while you can certainly squeeze out more dps on a per cast basis with haste/crit, you have more windows to cast with high mastery. Furthermore, if you look at the highest timed keys logs, most healers (outside of Holy Paladins) are averaging 850s-1500 overall dps depending on the instance and affixes. So far this expansion, timing keys in terms of DPS is definitely more the people playing DPS rather than you as a healer dealing DPS.
I routinely break 900 dps just making sure I use Divine Star on cooldown and doing dumb things like spamming Holy Nova.
Something is missing from replies above:
INT!!!
then
Raid: Mastery/Crit/vers/haste
M+: Crit/haste/vers/mastery
True, I’m used to always trying to get some damage in though.
For now I think I’ll do Haste/Crit and Haste/Mastery with a few Crit/mastery sprinkled in just incase I want to switch it up and go disc
