Gearing for pvp

I pvp, but I am definitely not as good as I used to be when I was younger.

I like to play arena to gear up but never did it too serious. I believe in wotlk I hit around 2100 and that was cool with me.

I guess you could call me a bg hero, I like to queue up with a buddy and play some bgs.

With tbc is it worth rolling a rogue when this time around I probably won’t be able to hit the rating requirement to equip the season gear?

I figure a caster the weapon doesn’t matter as much.

Again, I haven’t really played in the last 3-4 years and just came back last month. I am definitely slower than I was when I originally played TBC but still want to be somewhat competitive.

Maybe I am overthinking it.

Sadly, they want to implement some changes to PVP gearing in TBC to make it more like retail.

They are adding more rating gates, and bizarrely, needing rating to even equip that gear.

I really hate things being locked behind ratings…

Edited for relevance and not irritation:

Roll a resto druid or rogue for easy rating and pvp gear.

Everything else is either average or hard mode.
