Gearing alts for 11.2

How is everyone gearing up alts you want to play in new season, I have a couple I want to gear up fast so they are ready, also anyone know if undercoin is going to be reset?

  • Nightfall event
  • Farm Treasure Goblins for Valorstones and then buy the chests that give Champion Gear
  • Timewalking weeklies for Hero gear

I’m not  I am casually pushing alts as high as they can go without M+ and seeing the content <3

It will.

Also I wouldn’t bother stressing that much about gearing up. World quest and event gear will be boosted past whatever you can get right now and there’ll be catchup available immediately.

Champion gear is in 11.2 is going to start at 681 - So literally everything you do, questing, heroics, delves, will give you gear you can upgrade further than anything you have now.

The only reason to push i-level now is to make things a little easier to kill when the patch drops. I have a prot warrior I just hit 80 on 2 days ago, and it’s currently at 661 item level. I hit 80, used all my warbound champion gear on it, filled out the rest of the spots with some of the decent stat gear off of the undercoin vendor. And then got all the crests from the renown vendors.

I used those crests to make 629 gear. And then I just started plugging away at +2 to +6 m+ dungeons and made all my off set 661 gear with runed crests. I also did all my +11 delves as well.

You could do the weekly hallowfall event for an extra champ track item (I didn’t do it), and be sure to do all the meta quests, and get your 701 belt.

Oh yeah this is the main thing you could do right now, I’m pretty sure the belt will still be useful for a good chunk of 11.2

You can buy gear from vendor names Agmera in dorn by timeways building with valorstone

Say what?!

Pretty much just doing what I can to get to the min level to enter LFR. Nightfall weekly, dailies, and participating in flames radiance even after weekly (also buy the 639 neck from the vendor there, too.) I’m flooded with valorstones from the treasure goblin event, so my last 2 classes are getting to play box lottery. Looking at the normal raid ilevel drops, even a my 684 will be changing into upgrades quickly. This will be my first patch change since I reyurned, so I don’t entirely know what to expect except gear will be obsolete quick

It’s warbound chest that gives random champion pieces for 350 valorstone

Don’t you have to have a certain M+ score to buy them?

Oh geeze, I’m not sure that’s worth it. Is it a decent item at least? 350 valor stones is quite a few upgrades on an item.

Edit: Wow it’s actually champion track gear! Not bad!

Not anymore

Run to every rep vendor and pick up all the crests, stones, and keys waiting. Run bountiful/oc delves, time walking quest, disc belt, and at least the first 3 cartel chips. Just leveled a shaman with my kiddo and had it at 660 in a couple days

Valorstone will not be resetting with next season though so if you want stock up you’ll have to replenish if you go that route with the alt.

If you wait until next week to do that, they’ll be the new seasons crests and keys.

Not even bothering to gear any more characters for 11.2. K’aresh will have gear in the 650 ilvls, it won’t have tier bonuses but it will be decent enough. M0s available first week too, which drop champion track at 680 ilvl so yeah, really no point in gearing when catchup is quite fast.

Unless you feel like actively playing the character it’s not worth your effort. If I were to play a character, I’d do Nightfall weekly + delves + fully upgrade my delve belt. If I still had time after that I’d do a single run of Turbo Boost and then Timewalking weekly. I’d then craft two non-Cloak embellishment pieces with the free Enchanted Runed Undermine Crests from my Cartel Rep + Gallywix kill.

You can do all this in a single week and it’d give you a pretty decent mix of Champion + Hero level gear. More than enough to start Season 3.

Nope, I haven’t done a single M+ and I’ve bought them.

Dang. I’ve let a lot of valorstones vanish into the ether that could have been stocking up catalyzable tier sets for alts. Oh well.
