I think a point of contention is that PvP activities should improve PvP character upgrades. I’m not sure how it’ll be in the expansion, or what the counterpart for flightstones will be called in TWW, so I’ll use the shorthand of Flightstones.
I would like to present the case that non-elite gear, purchasable with honor, should also be upgradeable with honor.

Agreed. I know flightstones are relatively easy to get, but so is honor. I am peeved by the sheer number of different currencies in the game as a whole. Though it was cool back when you needed reagents to cast abilities imo.
Bit off topic but, I’d rather bring reagents back in order to cast Quality of Life (mostly) abilities and have a universal currency for all legacy currencies at least.
So I really don’t want tedious requirements just to remain undergeared. I never enjoy upgrading any gear that is not BiS.

Is there actually any use of the flightstones for pure pvpers? I think the only reason I consume them is to make the sparks. Is that correct or am I missing something?
And if this is correct, any good way to exchange them for something that’s vendorable?
They can be used with crests to upgrade gear. Which isn’t even necessary if all you do is pvp.
