Gear upgrade to x/3

I’m disappointed that 385 gear items I had, which had capped out at 2/2 and which had been slightly superceded by new items, were made upgradeable to 3/3 after I threw them out.

Sure, allowing upgrade to level 3 is a plus for anyone who held onto the gear. Had I known they would be made upgradable again (upgraded, they’d be better than the gear I have now in quite a few slots), I would have held on to them, of course.

I have no problem with items becoming obsolete, but then they shouldn’t be resurrected, otherwise we’ll have to start holding on to all useless items, all in the off chance Blizz might make them useful again in some way.

Collecting all those Storm Sigils took a lot of time. Feels very bad.

You can use the Item Restoration to get them back.

One of the devs (Chimes) on one of those TLDR blog posts about the S2 gearing system suggested it wouldn’t be a bad idea for players to hold onto their low level items in case they pull the ripcord on crests, and they become viable for later endgame.

ohh nice good thing I kept mine in my ’ GEAR BAG’ thx I’ll have to upgrade them all to lvl 3 now… Live and learn…

You can look it up. Not that many gear items that can be upgraded in game.
