I need to sound off on here because it feels like I’m screaming into a literal void with the US Gear Store customer support.
So basically, ordered TWW CE back in April. I live in the UK but I have a US account as it was set up back in 2008 when I lived in NZ so naturally I figured the game codes are region based and I needed to order from the US Gear Store, annoyingly, cost me $92.99 in shipping.
About 2 weeks before release, I got an email from them saying that they were having difficulty with my shipping address and that I needed to confirm it with them, did that.
Got to a week before release and still nothing had shipped, naturally started getting anxious as shipping from the US to UK can take some time.
Ordered from the UK store once I found out that none of the collectors editions are region based (extremely poor comms on this), shipping cost a much more tolerable £8 and received the next day. Tried to cancel with the US store but they just kept repeating it was ‘Processing’ so it wasn’t possible.
On Monday, I received another collectors edition - obviously this was the one from the US store, but deceitfully, it was shipped from Legends UK, it had a UK shipping address on it, came with a UK courier and was a next day service used. By this point I had already submitted a charge back with my bank as I felt like they were pulling my leg and the item wasn’t ever going to ship.
Since then I have been repeating myself over and over and over to the US customer service, the responses I receive have absolutely nothing to do with my order. They don’t seem to care or want to help resolve the issue. I’ve just got off live chat again with an agent who has finally given me return details but the return address is the US warehouse - I mentally cannot fathom how any of this makes any sense whatsoever. So now to return the item it needs to be shipped to the US, which is more cost.
This has been once of the most frustrating and stressful support experiences I have ever endured.
I literally needed to sound off on this because my brain cells are struggling to get through this. But also, Blizzard should be fully held accountable for the shamfully poor service of Legends who is representing their IP.
