That’s the biggest problem with the current state of PVP. The frustrations people are having is because of this one simple thing. The gear disparity is real. There’s no skill involved in 1 or 2-shot killing someone.
Why exactly wouldn’t you use a legendary item?
Exactly my thoughts. Why?
People that say gear > skill are generally lacking in both. Take the steps to better your position and you may enjoy where you find it takes you. Good luck.
In b4 the trolls come tell you to Git Gud and to stop asking for free stuff.
Git gud and stop asking for free stuff.
Imagine having both bindings and an eye in your bags during classic.
Yet refusing to do the required quests.
Wants to pump?
OP is ilvl 200, wearing conquest gear.
this player is hiding on an alt.
so is this player
this player is 226
this player is 218
funny how the people saying its not a problem are geared or hiding.
Call it what you will, but not hard stuck at ilvl 200 without a leggo on these forums QQ.
For all the people who say that gear doesn’t matter then I ask you this, why use gear at all? Let’s just have all the conquest and PvP items be cosmetic items only. Because ,call me crazy, but the whole reason I gear my toons is to do more damage and have more survivability.
I’ll never understand how people cry about gear dispartiy, I managed to climb to 1.8k on my 180 iLevel lock with my 226 ilevel friend and we managed to absolutely stomp our way from 0 CR to 1.8.
I’m almost 200 iLevel atm and my friend and I are aiming for 2.1 so I can prove to people that gear dispartiy isn’t real.
I think people just need to understand their class better, maybe read some guides?
This can be done with in game currency too.
I mean you can choose to boost, or just grind it out like I did? It’s not really that hard once you know your class.
well, we can separate gear from power. gear lets you set your stats, for instance im following this model: Vers > haste = mastery.
ilvl just gives you more power, more HP, and slightly more stats.
play any mech game and you will find you can quite easily seperate power from stats. mech games are all stats but no ilvl. (they even do cool substat stuff like heat management which you can play on with flamethrowers)
IMO that is what wow needs, a singular static ilvl for everyone in pvp and about a dozen more substats to play with.
not a very strong case, if your 2s partner is a god then you’re just kind of there. so when its puts into that perspective it brings us to this;
does it matter how its obtained? do you think its ok that blizzard operates on a system of selling carries for tokens yet bans 3rd party boosters?
Show us the climb, maybe a knowledgeable rated player can analyze it for clarity.
Is this a troll? Sounds like you’re being carried.
I don’t see an issue with it, I mean WoW is clearly an older game and requires more money to operate than just subscriber costs so WoW tokens actually greatly benefit the economy of the game and overall health of our scene. Do you just want us to go broke and not have a MMO at all?
How am I being carried? I can’t play with my friend because he has a higher iLevel than me? Get real.
It’s not my fault my friend plays more than I do and has gear, and I pulled my fair share of the weight too every fight.
Hi Tony, I see you made it out of the arena forums. can you please keep us posted on this? also what specs are you and your friend running?
You could just be CCing the healer while your friend does all the heavy lifting.
