Alright, so I have a really interesting thought process here regarding Rated PVP, why is it when someone loses a RBG or an Arena, they lost alot more Rating (I lose about 13 rating each time I lose in 2s, granted, I just hit 1700 so it’s not really surprising) than they gain? (I gain roughly 5 to 10 rating each time I win, assuming I’m going against a team that has a similar MMR to me).
I do understand it’s meant to be something akin “learn from this mistake and get better” but when you’re losing Arenas and RBGs due to the enemy team having a Resto Druid that has so little gear that the scaling within PVP makes it like he has the equal gear to me and I’m 404 in Holy, 406 in Ret, that’s when the rating lost/gain is unfair to me, because then I lost rating due to someone blatantly abusing the system already in place for their own benefit. Mind you, I don’t think of it as Cheating because at the end of the day, it’s not cheating, it is simply abuse of the system already in place.
I honestly love it when I play a really tough match of equal gear and lose because then I tried, the enemy team tried, they were better than me at that moment, but abusing the system by intentionally having low gear on? I think that should get fixed to an extent because A. it’s so easy to get 340 gear and then gear up from there, B. it gives the people who actually try to get their rating the chance to well, get it up (that’s what she didn’t say )
