So I already got a veteran tier chestpiece for my paladin, but from the great vault this week I got two rewards to choose from…a veteran tier piece helm OR a champion tier chestpiece
I dont have any other tier pieces, only the chestpiece. Two people answered me in game and told me different things.
- get the champion chestpiece piece since its higher ilvl and harder to get
- get the helmet so i can get the t2 set bonus quicker and be more powerful
I just need some clarity on what to choose D:
Go with the Champion chest, more item level potential and tier is easy with the creation catalyst returning.
Yeah but champion gear to upgrade needs wrym and aspect crest which =guess what mythic +…still got to do that content 6,7,8.
I take the champion chest piece. 437 vs 441 isn’t that big of a difference (Champion vs Hero). But 424 is a lot lower than 437. You will potentially use the chest a lot longer.
I think there should be awesome new legendary gear for Veteran players!
Sorry I am reading this too late to help this guy. My Google search probably should not have even taken me here. But for any future players with a similar question, I think there is a lot more info needed before you can answer a question like this:
What kind of stat change do you get if you take the helm? Is it an upgrade to your current one?
How will your stats/performance compare if you get the upgrade on the chest and keep your current helm compared to getting the set helm and the 2 piece bonus?
That is where the creation catalyst comes in; making your current helm or anything else a set piece.
But you have to start with the info on stat upgrade regarding each piece PLUS the details of the 2 piece bonus (having it VS not having it) - before making a choice.
I think that info alone should tell you which way to go.
