Rogue mage is one of the only comps that can actually do that. If you play healer/x you just won’t have the damage output or mana to survive long enough to kill.
Gear does matter a ton, and the honor grind to get competitive gear is ridiculous.

Your success with skill doesn’t discount the majority of players position on wanting a smaller disadvantage/advantage gap.

i have an adapt trinket, my ilvl before i upgraded weapon to duelist was LOWER than if u were FULL unranked gear.

So you played with a fully geared dps then.
Congratulations on getting 2.1 with low gear, I just have a problem with trying to frame it like it doesn’t matter.
A player who has been 2700+ since 2015 getting 2.1 with low gear does not mean that the struggle for gear isn’t real. Most players don’t have access to the partners you do, and are just not as good at the game as you are, and can’t be expected to be.

You’re leaving out the fact that we start out with a 70 ilvl difference.
You might want to edit your post to reflect that you think 10 to 20 ilvl is ok but more than that is not.

my gear is worse than if u have full unranked conq gear
u can get that without being good at the game by slogging thru 900mmr games
now keep talking to me about 70ilvl gaps

Idk, I Qd into rsham frost mage (frost mage was prob full gear) but in the time I had sapped the rsham and was heading to the frost mage, he hit my rsham for a 30k frost bolt, my rsham bro had like 42k hp. The brain freeze flurry after finished him… yeah he could’ve done a lot of stuff but with ice form being unpurgable the frost mage is super scary for a good bit of every minute. Long story short I would say frost mage healer is a pretty strong comp into a lot of things
Sure, improving your play is always going to be beneficial. But acting like there ISN’T a problem with gear is dishonest.
Also, I’d like to see you do exactly what you just did with the same access to players that the average 1600 player has.
Why are you so against it being easy to acquire a level playing field?
