I am currently playing a Devastation Evoker and almost all my gear except feet and trinkets are item level 460, but my character is still showing an item level of 430. This is my first toon that has got to max level and I’m super new to item level and stuff. I want to run dungeons and raids but only for the story as I don’t have a lot of time to play for gear. How do I get my item level up where I can play in dungeons and raids?
If you have an offhand do you have a main hand? Or if you have a main hand, do you have an offhand? If you’re using a staff, ignore this.

Are you running a 1 hand weapon with no off hand item?

I suggest posting on that character.
I just did 4 heroic dungeons and got 1 whole piece of gear. They really don’t want players to gear up anytime soon, makes doing dungeons a complete waste of time.

It’s doing the math right, your 2nd ring and both trinkets are pulling your character ilvl down by about 6 ilvls each compared to current season gear. (they start with a 3, not a 4).

your overall ilvl is the average of all your gear.
So having a 340 ring that drops your average by about 8-9 ilvls a piece
