Gear isn't more meaningful

Blizzard is moving the bar and trying to gaslight people. Before WoD(Cata/Mop) we had 5 more people per raid along with ~6 piece of loot dropped from each boss. This loot came with sockets. It could be upgraded with a guaranteed currency if you participated in raiding. The stats could be reforged if they were awful. That was meaningful gear. Getting a piece felt good and it happened often. Now they changed it to 1 piece from M+ runs and 2 from each raid boss. They lowered the supply and forced people to grind garbage filler content to earn sockets. Can’t wait for this dumpster to be sold to some Korean publisher so the REAL paypig milking can begin. Mods can go ahead and clean this thread up(for free).

I didn’t say it wasn’t meaningful. I said their reasoning behind severely reducing the amount of gear along with taking away sockets and adding them back with a grind attached was BS. Getting an upgrade is always going to be an upgrade. If you don’t participate in content where gear is a limiting factor in progression then it doesn’t affect you so any gear is going to feel meaningful.

I’ve gotten random socked gear from dungeons, the loot system feels the same as it usually is if not better. I was getting an average of 1 pieces from mythics after running 6 (I also got more than 1 pieces in a mythic before). idk where your getting your info a bout it being “severally reduced” I’d say if anything gear droprate is higher this expansion.

Sadly it isn’t. Ion took the vocal minoritys cries of gear falling from the sky in legion and bfa how they’re raid and mythic gear was made obsolete cause anyone could get same item level gear from emissaries and world quests… so he did what they wanted. Had the already low drop rate reduced even more. So it could feel “meanful” getting a piece. I think its crap and it doesn’t motivate me to run dungeons or raids beyond the quest I’m initially sent for.

I’ve done 6 mythics, I’ve gotten 7 pieces of gear and 2 conduit things.

The droprate of gear is anything but severally reduced. I doubt the people posting have any idea what they are talking about.

I was getting armor upgrades from world quests and the daily cache from doing 3 world quests.

Seriously any of you even play the game or just reposting fake news? Armor is easy to get this expansion.

The loot system is garbage. First, having legendary items drop off early bosses in dungeons is an absolutely stupid move. Nearly every random I am in has a tank or healer drop after killing the boss that has the item they want, which then leaves the group twiddling its thumbs while we wait for a new one. Second, I’m running multiple heroics a day, and on first runs I am not seeing any loot at all. At first I thought that Blizzard had made it to where you only see one (two if you’re lucky) pieces per dungeon run, but it’s not even that right now. I can’t get a weapon or trinket drop to save my life.

It’s really making the game hard to enjoy for me. I’m not asking for handouts, at all. However, I would love to see a lot better balance implemented and also, MOVE LEGENDARIES TO THE END BOSS! (Hoping Blizzard sees this but it is doubtful).

okay, so what you’re saying here is ‘ive had extreme luck with drops, far beyond what most people experience, and am using my own outlier experience to make an assumption for everyone else’. I did every m0 on my warlock this week. I got ONE minor upgrade and 1 useless conduit ill never use.

They turn down the gear faucet down slightly and you’d think it was the apocalypse.

Na I ran with the same guys we all were getting gear drops. You have to do multiple, 1 time zero drops next run 2 drops.

If you only got 1 minor upgrade from doing every mythic last week you are a FAKE NEWS LIAR.

Gear can’t be ‘meaningful’ with all the current ways to get it. Gear is meaningful in classic because Ashkandi is Ashkandi and it’s a super strong weapon. You get a weapon now? Well is it LFR, normal, heroic, Mythic? Is it from an M0 or M1-15? There are very few exceptions. Cut Of death was one that was meaningful because of its effect. But even then, it wasn’t meaningful unless you won the lottery and got it from your weekly chest.

Decreasing gear drops hasn’t and won’t make gear more meaningful. It just makes gearing more tedious.

Oh, you’re trolling. Carry on, I suppose.

Post on your warlock lets see it. You can see my gear and I’ve got 2 tanking pieces in my inv from my mythics.

You can also see all the gear I’ve gotten in the armory.

I did them all and probably got 7-8 pieces. Got skunked a few times, got 2 drops others. Upgrades so far feel much more meaningful since they arent happening every other day

Time will tell if this continues. Early in the game still

You’re trolling at this point. Just because you got a bit lucky doesn’t in any way prove the drop rate was raised.

My point was that it was anything but severally reduced. I have enough proof of that.

The complaining about the loot system being changed very much at all is clearly nothing but fake news. Its a pandering meme at this point.

Look it up then genius. Its anything but “fake news” as you call it with your buzzwords. You sound like alex jones

Nice point, Crispy! I love the optimism as I myself am loving SL even with very limited playtime so far.

Base Mythic isn’t M+. You haven’t even seen the raid yet.

It isn’t higher. It’s much lower. This also has no affect on you because you don’t even clear heroic. You wouldn’t even see the effects of loot changes throughout the expansions. One of those being the removal of masterloot. Blizzard coming up with BS reasons to prolong hamster wheel by taking away RPG aspects.
