Gear Drop Monopoly

Essentially any loot that is relevant is either HR or Master Loot Ninja it. There is very few raids / dungeons that let all players roll on BiS / High Demand gear, and even those often get Ninja by loot master.

Is there any solution for that?

Maybe a new loot system with SR locked within the game or something similar?

<Edit Update, Personal Loot was mentioned, it seems like an easy supper effective solution>

Yes.

Join a guild.

Make your own raid group.

Stop asking Blizz for help… it’s like asking the Government to solve your problems.

Joining a guild COULD solve it, but its not guarantee, and it narrow down the number of players you can play with from entire realm to members online / willing to do that content…

About the Government stuff, the Government will always exist while the game we often change to new ones  … Its the reason I stopped playing when the realm launched, there was ONLY HR groups even for dungeons, and now with ZG but as with every new phase it’s the same, everything is HR, and when you join a regular group you get ninjed… so anoying to play like that, kinda not worth.

Out of all the times I played Classic, leveling was the much fun I had by far, the late game Loot system is too punitive…

The solution is GDKP unfortunately blizzard killed that because some people were too lazy to farm gold.

Right, because legit gold farming would totally put me on even footing with the whale swipers.

Yes, as foretold by everyone with half a brain.

Blizz killed the PuG scene. Can’t wait to xfer back to era.

Yep if you are too lazy to get a few hundred gold it’s a you problem.

in the past, from 20 till 12years ago players was frustrated by the same issue you are having today, and for that blizzard did make a solution and created the best loot system which
stopped all ninja looting.
stopped the corrupt Loot council.
stopped the bad luck about rolling each other players.
stopped people paying $$ to buy gold and joining gdkp’s to get gear with that gold.

that is called “personal Loot” it is about you doing pve if dungoen or raid and getting the loot without interference by other players, you play as a team and people are rewarded equally and i would love to see classic with personal loot but the abusers and selfish people will hate it because it won’t let them hard reserve items or master looting to ninja it for themselves.

yes, this issue was solved years ago, with personal loot. Retail has it.

like the merc mode for pvp queues, it’s a non-issue that gets brought back for no reason.

Not on anniversary. SoD and Anniversary have a unique loot problem that doesn’t exist in any other version of the game. Unless you get into very good guild just expect loot to be horrible.

Yeah, I’m trying to find reasonable reasons to not have Personal Loot implemented, just like the Dual Talent, it seems like a necessary upgrade, and not a “It will become Retail if updated” kind of thing. And it will solve some Toxic / break of Gameplay rules, like:

-People Buying Gear (Solve RMT transactions issues)
-People Ninja Loot (Solve toxic behave issue)

And the downside is what? People no longer will be able to get “one run full gear”? It sounds like another advantage, play the game to get geared, easy and simple

GDKP’ers won’t like it… their families will go hungry irl if this goes live.

finding a guild likely would solve most of your issues. a guild will gear you, especially if youre a healer.

but dont expect to waltz into a guild and start taking high demand items from regulars that have been showing up for months before you arrive. which seems common unfortunately even tho we clearly state the rules that new recruits / tryouts dont get weapons or trinkets until they have at least two consecutive raid clears with us.
this late in the game, you gotta put in effort, ie showing up with consumes, wb’s and being consistent and reliable for the guild/group.

your prospective guild should have class leaders, and loot should be coordinated, ie everyone in that class/spec gets T2 3pc bonus before anyone collects a 4th piece.

Well if you’re too ignorant to know why no GDKP then no loot for you…

Farming a few hundred gold is hard for you?

I understand what you are saying and I’ve been there in the past, but do you see the MANY barriers ?

The conditions you listed, are: helpfull if you are a Healer, don’t be a Try Out / New Recruits, don’t get Weapon or Trinkets, for 2 clear runs, and them you get in the LINE to MAYBE get a gear.
The rest you listed: putting effort, knowing how to play, consumables, etc, those are the minimum requirements, I agree, otherwise there is no loot for anyone, or its too painfull.

But in the end there is more conditions to get to the loot than to get to get rewards, and this barriers are created by the community, not by the game design.

One side note, I know most content is related to Raids, but Dungeons with HR are massive as well.

And blizzard removed the community solution to the problem which is GDKP.

Oh come on. The “few hundred gold” covers your consumables. We are 6 months into Anniversary and we both know that the bids would be thousands for anything that is BiS.

I rarely HR anything and always encourage everyone in group to need it if they need it - even if I also need it. I would not join a group where someone has reserved all the good loot and am surprised anyone does.
