Gear Disparity

This system is VERY Oppressive. Unless you can pay for carries. Basically the rich get richer in ilvl the poor stay poor. BRAWLING your a** off for 1600 just to get a little more ilvl, whilst your opponents are at 39k hp… The carries are ruining the game. Its basically pay to win.

actually, its more of a “those who put in effort get rewards.”

why do you think carries are ruining the game? how common are carries?

Lots of effort involved in using your credit card to purchase tokens, I guess.

no, effort gets rewarded because those that put in the work to queue and improve their skills are the ones getting the better gear.

So, everyone who gets better gear via rating has earned it on their own merit?

Getting 2100 isn’t hard dude

id say yes, most of them at least. obviously you have to account for those exploiting and cheating.

Dude must have trade chat turned off.

advertisements dont really show us how common carries are lol.

Better gear at higher rating was supposed to be an incentive, only thing it has accomplished is get people frustrated unless you got your circle jerk of btags. I need a bigger carrot Blizzard, this one not worth chasing.

Lfging 1800 and 2100 isn’t difficult if you genuinely put in effort

I really wish this were true. Ontop of some classes basically playing themselves, Its demoralizing and quickly diminishing the want to play. Mix that with the effort it takes to gear and do covenant and everything; Makes League of Legends more and more appealing. Log in, play log off no strings.

yeah if that’s what you want wow probably isnt the game for you. wow is an mmo rpg which means that you have to put a modicum of effort into progressing your character.

it sounds like league is more your style.

I hate this logic. Go play ESO or FFXIV if you want to play an mmo.

Wow and League gameplay is about as similar as Ace Combat 6 is to Neopets. Stop saying “play league if you want an esport” when people bring up the lackluster esports experience in wow.

Blizzard is pushing wow as an esport, and due to that, they are attracting people who are looking for an esport with wow’s gameplay. Telling those people to “go play league idiot, this is an mmo!!1” is counterproductive.

why would i do that when wow is the best mmo on the market and has been for the past 20 years?

who is saying this?

how?

Why would you push people who enjoy wow to other games simply because their ideas for how to improve their experience don’t line up with your opinions?

We are not all twitch ho*s sitting in game for 6 - 8 hours a day. Time is limited and lfg is garbage to push unless your cr is already somewhat decent. But that’s fine, forgot most people here a little boys with 0 responsibilities. Don’t mind me.

The game should not cater to people that won’t spend 2 hrs to queue to 1800

They are common enough that the prices are $100 (in gold) for 1600, and much more for higher brackets. If demand was lower, the prices would go down.

Why wouldn’t they be? You get a massive gear advantage in PvE AND PvP. All you have to do is farm BGs with all the casuals once you get you base set, and you can level up every item you’re wearing to whatever ranking you bought.

Note: I’ve never bought one. I signed up for one of the discord channels when they were giving away the long boi during BfA, and I check out the prices once in awhile.

Lol nice one parrot, always repeating the same sht. I don’t give 2 fx about arena or rating, I just want the best gear available or close to it. But Blizz want us to spend our time chasing gear. I enjoy pvp, not arenas. RBGs are just as garbage. I don’t mind grinding em out, but dont wanna live in it either, same issue we had with pve gear the last 2 xpacs.
